My husband and I love to grill! It gets me out of the kitchen (especially during hot New Orleans summer months) and him outside cooking me dinner! Since I'm a vegetarian and he isn't, it's the perfect way to cook what I want and what he wants at the same time. Nothing beats grilled veggies in a grill wok, drizzled with olive oil and balsalmic vinegar!!! Winning this basket would help us get more creative with grilling, which is what we need!

We love to grill Tofurky beer brats when camping. Individual pizzas are also fun.

Love to have hubby grill, gives me a little bit of me time. Which we all need.

Shawna says …

We love grilling and do so every chance we get. Last year we began smoking our meat and that just enhances the grilling experience. We grill veggies, pineapples, mangoes and also enjoy making pizza on the grill instead of ordering out during the summer months.

Nothing really compares to pastured meat or fresh seafood on the grill, is there??

I am not the "grill master" of the family, as my husband would say. So, I let him do all the grilling. But, we love to grill and our favorite thing to grill is our deer burgers that we season with a little seasoning salt, fresh basil, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce and sometimes cayenne pepper. My husband does them over a charcoal grill to give them a nice smokey flavor. And they are oh, so good! It's one thing that brings back good summer memories.

We love grilling korean marinated short ribs & summer veggies (tossed into pasta as a salad).

My favorite way to make the summer sizzle is to pack my cast iron grill/griddle whenever we drive to summer music camping/festivals. We pack half a dry-ice cooler of portobello mushrooms and blue cheese, with tons of fixins so I can make my delish portobello mushroom sliders for everyone within a radius of our campsite. I marinate the mushrooms, grill them with barbecue sauce, and top them with grilled onions and blue cheese on a sweet hawaiian roll. So glad summer is here!

Grilling for me is about food, fun, family and fellowship. We can all contribute to making a great burger, turning some baby backs, keeping our eyes on the corn on the cobs, assembling marinated kabobs, or roasting marshmallows for s'mores... All with wholesome, organic meats and produce right from whole foods. And need I talk about your wine selection? From veggies to fish on a cedar plank, you have the perfect pairing. Just need more sun to get the grilling in full swing.

Anything and everything gets thrown on the grill when the weather gets warm! A whole wild salmon served with homemade summer pesto and grilled lemon for garnish. Grilled Romaine lettuce drizzled with a simple splash of olive oil and a touch of lemon. And, of course, freshly squeezed lemonade!

Earen Leaf says …

My favorite summer fare is our family's recipe for Guam Chicken on the grill - chicken marinates more than a day in a mixture of soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, lots of onions. Grilled to perfection and paired with grilled corn and asparagus. Served with steamed rice. A family tradition for nearly 40 years!

I'm a total grill fanatic. I love to be the grill chef and cook and serve my guests, especially my family. That super basket would make such a perfect addition to my summer BBQ's. I would totally love it.

Favorite way to make summer sizzle on the grill - use simple homemade marinades to showcase the natural flavors of foods. So for example we mix up maple syrup, a dash of sea salt, hot spanish paprika sweet spanish paprika and garlic paste. toss shrimp in that and then grill. or toss asparagus in a mix of evoo, garlic and parsley and grill. And we stay clear of salt as much as possible - it's about tasting the natural flavors of summer foods. yum!

I would love to win this gift basket as it would get me back on track. Before I only shopped at Whole Foods and I was in shape and felt great now I am almost 300pounds and can hardly walk and this would be a good starter kit to get me back to eating healthy.

Ashley LaMay says …

I love to marinate my chicken with a bunch of bbq sauce over night in a container- but a big secret- before I put the chicken in to soak, I mix the bbq sauce with about three tablespoons of a spanish red wine like a Shiraz for a nice smooth twist! Add some fresh cilantro after grilling and WA-LAH! Super delicious! AND you can drink the left over wine! PERFECT!

I love to grill summer, fall, winter and spring! The flavors of food on the grill are better and I think it's healthier. Fresh fish and shrimp, kebabs!, fruits and vegis, chicken, meat and tofu, from my Whole Foods of course, are the best.

Jeanie Baurichter says …

My husband loves shish kebobs and wants to try new recipes this summer. He bought a huge book on grilling so he can do more bbq-ing on our Big Green Egg bbq we never seem to use. Whole Foods is the best store for all things meat and veggie.

He comes up with some really creative grilling ideas and I know this basket would really help make his summer sizzle and a special Birthday surprise.

I love to grill tandoori chicken, corn, and other seasonal veggies for a healthy, light, and "exotic" dinner. Summer is all about changing pace and enjoying new things.

Melissa R says …

We make grilling a special treat by buying grass fed organic ground beef and making really tasty hamburgers. There is no comparison with conventional burgers. And of course we have to add all the sides like potato salad, baked beans and tabouli. Yum! And if it's a special summer occasion, we've got to make homemade ice cream for dessert.

BPH says …

My very favorite is brined pork loin, grilled, with grilled peaches and pineapple on the side and a salad. Plus cold beer. Nothing is as wonderful on a summer evening.

Joy says …

Marinate some pork shoulder or country style short ribs in a brown sugar fish sauce for a few hours. Grill over medium coals basting constantly and you get tender caramelized Asian pork! I slice it and serve over a crispy mint cabbage slaw with peanuts. Beautiful with grilled fruit and lime halves too, yum.

Anders Adler says …

Seafood! Nothing better than grilled seafood. We're not huge meat fans, so we get a ton of different kinds of fish to grill and serve with salads and salsas. Snapper, swordfish, salmon and shrimp, mmmm...

Kaitlin says …

My favorite summer grilled dessert is pineapple. Use the outer ring, grill, and add to ice cream for a cold finish to a hot summer's day.

Leah says …

Living in MN, my boyfriend and I started grilling in February hoping it would speed up the arrival of spring/summer. We recently discovered Whole Foods's salmon burgers, and are in love with them!!! The teriyaki and the mediterranean flavors are our current favorites, and I've got my honey hooked on my baked sweet potato fries and grilled asparagus! Every Whole Foods visit we also sample something new from the prepared meats counter and have yet to be disappointed by anything we have tried. We grill all weekend and then have leftovers to take for lunches during the week!
