We grill at least weekly all summer, and most of the year. We're a beef-eating family, so lots of burgers and steaks, and my husband uses an electric smoker to do briskets and ribs and chicken (and even last year's Thanksgiving turkey).

I enjoy grilling burgers and chops on the grill. There's just such a different flavor over a flame, plus the enjoyment of being outdoors, and the reduced clean up of splatters.

I'm trying new concoctions on the grill all the time, so our grill and our taste buds sizzle all the way through these flaming Texas Summer months. My latest concoctions have involved some great seafood: scallop skewers marinated in lemon and lime juice, Bragg's aminos, garlic, and fresh ginger. I grill them atop a banana leaf with a little bit of coconut oil. I serve it up with some cole slaw dressed with rice vinegar, Bragg's, sriracha, and radish microgreens. I also made some mouth-watering cod en pochette on the grill with a topping of red onion, bell peppers, lime slices, fresh mint, and jalapeno slices. Served that with black rice and mango slaw.

John says …

It's that time of year again!! It's BBQo'clock. I can't wait to incorporate these items into my weekly BBQ schedule! Whoever chose these items really pays a close attention to detail...I have never grilled skewers i think that will be my first move! Thanks Whole Foods!

Grilled veggies and salmon!

Kris Koster says …

I make my summer sizzle by grilling everything from a good ole burger and grilled potato wedges to whole, fresh fish with grilled asparagus. What makes it even better is trying new and creative ideas on the grill. You can cook just about anything on the grill. Then sit back, grab a cold refreshing beverage and enjoy the weather! Sizzle, Sizzle!!!

I love grilling! So easy and the clean-up is minimal. I love fish grilled and topped with a mango salsa, grilled veggies with Himalayan pink salt and grilled pineapple or peaches for dessert drizzled with coconut milk. Also nothing beats a great burger on the BBQ

Happy Grilling everyone!
