I am all about vitamin C. It actually has tremendous affects on animals as well as people. Once I saved my dog from parvo by getting her to swallow a lot of powder C.

I agree that medicinal support can really help keep one healthy through the flu and cold season. I start these cold mornings with lemon, honey, hot pepper and warm water, and it really seems to help.

I sure wish I had read this 3 weeks earlier. My boys have both brought big time colds back from their schools. I am supporting their systems with Zinc and wellness formula now, which should help speed their recovery.

Like others here I am a big time believer in letting a fever ride. It is the best way for the body to build immunity for the next go round.

Chris did an earlier podcast about food and well being and I think the idea of the medicinal value of plants and herbs is tide to how we enjoy the experience of the food.

My mom always had us bundle up and "sweat out" a cold when we were young. I still do this, and think it really helps to raise your body temperature to burn out invaders.
