Qigong has been around for thousands of years as a wellness practice.   This practice aligns the physical body, mind and breath in order to open energy pathways.  In turn, these open pathways facilitate the flow of energy allowing the body to heal itself. Everyone can benefit from the healing benefits of this Qigong.  Here is your opportunity to incorporate Qigong into your wellness routine.

Renee Dorn is a perpetual student of traditions that have been successfully used throughout the centuries to promote good health and well-being. Her passion is the continual exploration of how the power of the mind can be used benefit the body, treat disease, generate power, and promote good health. She spent more than 11 years studying martial arts as well as the underlying philosophies.  Her journey revealed not only a path to physical health, but an optimal way of living underscored by authenticity, self-expression, joy and continuous growth.

Through her continued studies, Renee has achieved credentials as a Life Coach, Group Fitness Instructor, Qigong Instructor and Medical Qigong Therapist. As such, she enjoys the opportunity of helping clients take control and responsibility for their mind, body and spirit. She helps clients alleviate energetic blockages that, if not addressed, can manifest as disease in the body, discomfort in the spirit, and distress to the mind.  Renee is the creator of Songrm, LLC, a holistic organization that provides tools to improve the mind, body and spirit. Dim sum literally means “a touch of the heart” because you share a variety of small, lovingly prepared dishes with family and friends. Culinary Center Educator Wai Chu will discuss how this meal has become a ritual for so many Chinese families, and he’ll show you how to make authentic dim sum in your home kitchen.

On the Menu: Pork & Shrimp Shao Mai Dumplings; Spareribs with Black Bean Sauce; Seafood-Stuffed Hot Peppers; Chicken & Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaves; Egg Custard Tarts.
