Friends For Life [1] is Houston's fastest  growing No Kill animal adoption and rescue organization with over 350 animals currently in the program.

Friends For Life is dedicated to offering No Kill solutions to the animals of Houston and the people who want to help them. Programs include rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, humane education and animal food/supply support. A dynamic non-profit, Friends For Life is committed to offering a real alternative to shelters that kill homeless animals.

The Height’s shelter is a vibrant, lively building in an urban setting. Cage-less cat rooms, a dog living room, and skylights in every space create a refreshing change from what people usually think of when they think “shelter.” For Friends For Life, valuing life doesn’t end at dogs or cats; it extends to a responsibility to the larger ecosystem. That is why Friends For Life has created the only green shelter in Houston. The facility is attentive to the footprint left on the environment, and to the health and comfort of the beings that live and work in it.
