This rosy-hued refresher is a play on a French-style "Bière Monaco,” traditionally made with equal parts lager, lemon soda and grenadine. Here, a few updates yield a more regal drink. Lemon Italian soda provides a concentrated and not-too-sweet flavor, while a splash of homemade Hibiscus Syrup creates a pretty pink color.

- 3/4 cup crisp lager-style beer, such as Victory Prima Pils, chilled
- 3/4 cup lemon Italian soda, chilled
- 1 tablespoon Hibiscus Syrup, chilled
- Lemon slice for garnish
Method
Combine lager, lemon soda and syrup in a tall beer glass and stir until blended.
Garnish with lemon slice.
