Community Giving in the Central Coast
For organizations seeking small contributions or event support, Whole Foods Market can provide in-kind donations such as goods, gift cards, and services.
When customers bring in their reusable bags for groceries, they have the option of receiving a five-cent credit (per bag) or donating five cents to a selected charity. Local organizations are selected every quarter (four times per year) as recipients.
A selected organization may be asked to attend special events in partnership with Whole Foods Market to help promote the Nickels for Non-Profits partnership.
If you are interested in applying for one of our Community Giving Programs, please fill out our Donation Request Form (below). We only accept online donation applications.
- We are not able to donate to groups or individuals seeking pledges.
- All non-profit groups requesting a donation must have tax-exempt status. A copy of your tax-exempt letter from the IRS must be attached with the application.
- Organizations may only apply for one donation per calendar year. Do not contact multiple stores for the same donation. Additionally, past support of an organization or event does not guarantee future support.
- Applications must be submitted 8 weeks prior to the event or donation pick up date.
Due to the high volume of donation inquiries we receive, it is not possible for Whole Foods Market to fulfill every request. We will contact you only if we can make a contribution to your organization.
