There's nothing the the world like fresh picked cherries -- straight off the tree or out of the bowl. I would just blissfully eat them, savoring each one. And share them with friends and family, of course.

I can do so much with these cherries. Pies, tarts, ice cream, cobbler, eat raw. My husband has gout, and cherries are good for that. He eats them raw.

I cut cherries into slivers(8)......add slivers of ripe mango ......add agave nectar. Set aside for a short while, covered. Serve with frozen yogurt in a parfait style .....first fruit at bottom, with roasted almonds in between and on a spoon of fruit covered with a sprinkle of almonds with a touch of agave for garnish.

As a organic lover of fresh fruits and vegies..My favorite is the cherries. They are great in helping inflamation in the body and also congestion in winter; i drink the wild cherry juice for cough. If I won I would share with my elderly neighbors..they are so nice!! My favorite way to prepare cherries is a big cobbler with homemade whipped cream topping with a splash of cinnamon.

Dry those little cherries, dip them in white chocolate and ship them to Shanghai to a few chief friends. When I lived there, I knew just how challenging it was to source fruits and candies for baking.

...with 5lbs of delicious Cherries from Washington, I would savor them one at a time....not putting them into recipes, but savoring them in their original, perfect state...I live in Michigan, Traverse City Cherry Festival was a part of my childhood...I love cherry jam, dried cherries, cherries in burger for years as an additive, cherry pie is my favorite...but the best way is right off the tree...

This many cherries all at once? How about donating them to thefamily shelter for a kids to have a spit-pit-for-the-distance contest? Whatever isn't joyfully eaten on the spot can be divided up and shared among the families.

I'm a day late, hope I can still get in. Here's my (great) idea Pit and halve 2-3 cups cherries Cut and peel 2-3 peaches 1 c. blueberries Halve 1 cup fresh strawberries Put in a bowl and add: 1/2 or a little more Grnad Marnier or Chambord (raspberry liqueur) 1/2 c. organic can sugar (may use less) 1/2 teaspoon almond extract 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 cup fresh organic lemon juice Taste and alter as needed. Let it sit in the refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight. Great served over vanilla ice cream (give only to adults)
