I've been vegan for 2 years now. I am a junk food vegan, because I'm a food addict. I'm sick of misrepresenting vegans as unhealthy, so for my new years resolution I will start eating the whole food diet I know I should be eating.

For the new year I will be trying to bring more whole grains into my diet. Also important to me is calories. It has to taste and look good. This cereal seems like it will mean all my requirements.

I already eat a plant-based diet, and have seen dramatic changes. All my allergies disappeared when I stopped eating meat, and, of course, I stopped taking the allergy medications that had so many bad side effects. My doctor says I'm as healthy as a horse. I do tend to eat too much so I will make an effort to eat less.

I have been decreasing the amount of protein I eat and replacing it with vegetables. I'm eating the same amount of food, yet providing my body a better balance.

Changes for the new year include utilizing more greens in diet - kale, swiss chard, arugula, etc. and finding substitutes for cooking with oil.

I have lost approximately eighty pounds in the last two years by trying to eat less processed food. In doing this I have learned to love vegetables, beans, fruit and nuts. Kale and old fashion oats have become my new best food friends! By the way I love the "Kale" tee shirt. Where can I get one? With all this said in my busy life there are times I need a good healthy cold cereal to have when I am rushed and hungry for a cold breakfast of good eating. I would love to try it. In 2013 I want to lose five more pounds and increase my walking distance and ride my bicycle more. Here is to a healthier 2013 for all!

I will be getting back "on the wagon" after overindulging this holiday season. As for Rip's Big Bowl, I'm glad it's now a cereal in a box, because buying the separate ingredients according to his recipe was cumbersome. I'm looking forward to trying it.

The cereal sounds yummy! As a vegan, I'm always interested in tasty, healthful all-plant foods to add to the repertoire. In 2013, I'd like to increase the variety in my diet by cooking more and relying less on plain frozen vegetables for dinner... though I love broccoli! And, I need to add more strength-building activities to my exercise regime (which is currently heavily aerobic in nature).

One change I will be making is at each meal to just eat until I am 80% full. This translates to stop eating when you first feel that twinge that you are getting satisfied or full. Another change is at lunch and supper meals to have my plate contain 50% vegetables, 30% lean protein and 20% whole grain carbs.

After watching his father in a documentary, my whole family went vegan in July. We have made dramatic changes in our lives and are determined to continue down our path of progress. My goal is to inspire our friends and other family members to make vegan food a constant part of their diet. With a new Whole Foods in our area, our availablility of vegan products will make it even easier for us to thrive in this new, healthy lifestyle.
