Love both, but the Satsuma is a bit more unique and "special" in flavor. Plus we've been pining for them since last season. Can't wait!

Clementine! Easy to carry in a backpack or purse for snacking. In the kitchen, great for zesting on veggies.

Satsumas were always at the toe end of our Christmas stockings every year. My mother bought pounds and pounds and pounds of these because our whole family loves them. They are tasty and juicy. You can peel them in seconds and the sections are perfectly sized to pop in your mouth. They fit in your jacket pockets and are fun to share with your friends. I look forward to having them every year.

I love satsumas the best! I grew up in Louisiana and whenever they were available we had them. The taste is so great and they remind me of my childhood.

For me, Satsumas win over Clementines. On rainy, wintry Seattle days, nothing brightens up my mood like the fresh tang of a stem-and-leaf Satsuma from the Whole Foods near my office. Just when the afternoon is fading into early darkness, I take a much needed stroll outside of work and pick up a couple of Satsumas from the grocery store. When I eat them, it feels like a bit of bright sun has shone down on me!

I love both clementines and satsumas (and plain ole' oranges for that matter) this time of year. That citrus is so fresh - both warming and comforting - this time of year! I regularly buy clementines by the box, but less frequently buy satsumas due to their limited availability in the Midwest...hoping that changes this year, as I'm already seeing satsumas appear at my local Whole Foods.

Satsumas! These are not only delicious, but come with a shot of holiday nostalgia for me; as a child a few satsumas were always found in my Christmas stocking.

I like both, but Satsuma is easier to peel. I usually just peel and eat because when I use a knife to cut it, juice drains and lost!

I love clementines. They are the perfect small size for dessert or a small snack. I really like that they are easy to peel and don't have as much of the pithy white around the fruit. This time of year, we keep some in the fridge all the time!

I would say clementine simply because I do not think I have tried a satsuma. Either way, clementines are delectable fruits, nonetheless. They are highly practical (small, seedless, easy to peel) and delicious. I can simply pack it as a snack or with my meal.

Clamor for clementines pretty much sums it up. My daughter gets SO excited when they come in season. Easy to peel, sweet and juicy and just fun to eat.

Clementimes were my first love, but Satsumas have that rustic look and their short season makes them feel a little more special. I'll happily eat either one!
