Feisty Fiesta Dishes for Cinco de Mayo

Though hailed as a precursor to summertime gatherings, Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) has its roots in independence. It’s the day Mexicans commemorate their 1862 defeat of the French army in the Battle of Puebla. This holiday is embraced as a delicious chance to celebrate Mexican culture and history.

Cover your bases with refreshing drinks, quick dips and sauces, versatile sides and salads, savory mains and spiced-up desserts.

Start the party right with festive sippables.

Dips and salsas dress up any table.

Edamame Guacamole

Sweet Corn and Black Bean Salad

Sides are great for sopping up flavorful sauces or offering up their own bold statement.

When hosting a party, it’s nice if the main dish offers a fun way for guests to serve themselves – tostadas and fajitas leave plenty of room for customization.

Quick Chicken Tostadas

Need a meatless main?

Hearty Rice and Bean Vegetarian Nachos

Heat up favorite desserts and ripe seasonal fruit with a sprinkle of spices.

What’s on your menu for Cinco de Mayo?
