If eating less meat is something you’re interested in exploring this year, here are a few of my favorite ways to go meatless along with some delicious vegetarian recipes.

Lentil Sloppy Joes

Love Lentils

Lentils are a staple of vegetarian cooking and extremely versatile. Add them to pastas, soups, salads and more.

Mushroom Bourguignon

More Mushrooms

Make mushrooms the main event. With their hearty texture and savory flavor, they are another go-to ingredient for satisfying meatless dishes.

Gingery Garlicky Tempeh

Tempeh Time

Made from fermented soybeans, tempeh offers a substantial chew and robust flavor. Look for it in the refrigerated foods section.

Southwest Veggie Burgers

Burgers — Bean Based!

Going meatless doesn’t mean cutting out burgers. There are many styles of veggie burgers. You can make your own, or easiest of all: Pick up some frozen veggie burgers from the store. We have many delicious varieties to try. Add toppings and condiments, plus a salad, and you have an easy go-to weeknight dinner.

Barbeque Tofu Po'Boys

Satisfying Sandwiches

If you love sandwiches, have fun trying one of these tasty vegetarian versions of a classic.

These are just a few ideas to get you started. Check out our collection of more than 2000 vegetarian recipes.
