Here's What's New in September

The kids are likely settled into their new classrooms and extracurricular activities and the whole family’s schedule is back on track after summer fun days. Luckily by trying new products, mealtime routines don’t have to be tied to monotony. Add excitement to breakfast or snack time with new-to-you cereals and drinks, or offer a new dish at the dinner table for extra applause.

Every month, we are pleased to add many new products to our shelves that have passed the testing and tasting and met our strict Quality Standards. (That means they’re free of hydrogenated fats and artificial preservatives, colors and flavors - wahoo!) And each month, we choose a dozen or so to call to your attention. Here are a handful of new products — or new varieties of old favorites — that we think you'll especially enjoy.

Take a look at what’s new and remember to add them to your online shopping list with a few clicks of the mouse. Since these are new to the market, you’ll be among the first to try them. Take a minute to tell us and other shoppers what you think by rating and reviewing them on our product pages.

Arrowhead Mills Organic Gluten Free Sprouted Corn Flakes

A breakfast classic has been reinvented with a blend of organic sprouted corn, organic brown rice and organic sorghum. These satisfyingly crunchy flakes also deliver 33 grams of whole grains per serving making it easier than ever to spoon up the goodness at breakfast time.

Coco Libre Organic Coconut Water + Chia Beverages

Coco Libre blends refreshing fruit juices with organic coconut water and organic chia seeds to pack lots of nutrients into every bottle. With options like Raspberry Lemonade, Strawberry Kiwi, Cherry Apple and Blackberry Pomegranate, there’s a flavor combination for everyone.

Glutenfreeda Instant Oatmeal

Finally an oatmeal that everyone can enjoy! Now you can experience hot, hearty oatmeal that’s packaged in a dedicated gluten-free facility and made with ground flax for an omega-3 boost. Since it’s available in both Cranberry Cinnamon with Flax and Strawberries & Brown Sugar with Flax, everyone’s dietary needs and taste buds can be satisfied.

Glutino Gluten Free Cornbread Stuffing

Enjoy all the flavor of Mammaw’s favorite comfort food without the gluten. Glutino has been making gluten-free foods for 30 years, so they know what their doing. (Mammaw has been cooking for even longer, so let her down easy when you pass up her version for this one.)

Mamma Chia Vitality Beverages

Mamma knows best! This unique beverage combines organic chia seeds with refreshing organic fruit juices, lightly sweetened with a touch of organic agave nectar. Chia seeds are commended   for delivering omega-3s, antioxidants, dietary fiber and protein. Thankfully, Mamma Chia offers them in Kiwi Lime, Grapefruit Ginger and Guava Mamma flavors.

Odwalla Garden Organics Organic Carrot Juice

An urban legend says eating large amounts of carrots will allow you to see in the dark. While we can’t substantiate that, we can attest that you’ll want to drink a lot of Odwalla’s organic carrot juice. Smooth and just a little bit sweet, this pure pressed, fresh juice packs loads of vitamin A with no added sugar. See why we like it so much?

Odwalla Garden Organics Organic Carrot Juice Blends

Odwalla’s pure pressed organic carrot juice is blended with other fresh fruits and veggies to pack a big flavor and vitamin punch. With so many flavors to try – Organic Carrot Apple Berry, Organic Carrot Beet Ginger and Organic Carrot Apple Mango – we hope you’re thirsty!

Sunflower Dream Sunflower Drink

Yes, that’s right – a creamy, new non-dairy beverage! Sunflower Dream is made from sunflower seeds grown in the US. We think you’ll find that it brings a slightly nutty (very tasty) flavor to cereal, coffee and smoothies. Plus, this vegetarian drink also delivers calcium, folic acid and vitamins A, D and E too.

Three Sisters Pomegranate Organic Hot Cereal

Give your morning a boost with instant hot cereal made with organic oats, barley, quinoa, rye and wheat. Plus, it delivers a whopping 40 grams of whole grains per serving. (If you’ll allow us to brag for a moment about Three Sisters, they purchase wind-generated electricity credits to offset 100% of their electricity use. Talk about a bowl of goodness!)

Three Sisters Multigrain Shredded Wheat Cereal

These crunchy shredded wheat squares are packed with flavor and whole grains, including oats, barley, wheat and triticale (a cross between rye and wheat). Try a bowl of Berry or Cinnamon. Oh, and Three Sisters ditched the cereal box to reduce waste. We like that – more flavor and grains and less waste.

Uncle Matt's Organic Juices

Uncle Matt is like your cool relative who gives the best gifts. This time it’s delicious organic juice in handy new 12-ounce size making it easy to enjoy refreshing organic juices on the go and in your lunchbox. Made with fruit grown on a fourth-generation family farm, these flavorsome beverages are available in Orange, Apple, Grapefruit and Lemonade.

Of the products above, which ones are you looking forward to trying and why?

Hi, I was on the go this week and I was on my way out the door and I overheard something about making your own protein cereal. I think it was on the Today Show, but I'm not sure, and I couldn't find anything about it on there site. I overheard someone say that you can make this cereal at Whole Foods or order it on-line from the company. The only thing is, I'm not sure what company that was. Can someone help me with this issue. I'm very much interested in this idea!! Thank You Kindly, Patti Rainwater
