Nature’s Path Organic Gingerbread Love Crunch

By Allison Burch, December 10, 2012  |  Meet the Blogger  |  More Posts by Allison Burch

At Whole Foods Market®, we love sharing good food and drink. Whether it’s peak-of-the-season fruit, a team member creation from our bakery, or a new grocery discovery, we love celebrating great flavors and products. But we don’t just want to tell you about it; we want you to enjoy it too, which is why we’re giving it away!  Read on to find out how you could win some free stuff. UPDATE: Thanks to everyone that entered. Congratulations to our randomly chosen winner, Lisa P. from North Carolina!

Run, run as fast as you can to catch the new Gingerbread Love Crunch premium organic granola from Nature’s Path. It’s only available during the holidays and Whole Foods Market® is the only place that’s got it.

This limited-edition flavor certainly celebrates the holidays. Gingerbread Love Crunch is packed with a spicy pop in each bite with savory hints of molasses, ginger, cinnamon and cloves that echo the taste of the classic gingersnap cookie.

Like all Nature’s Path products, Gingerbread Love Crunch is organic, which means it doesn’t contain artificial preservatives, synthetic pesticides or genetically modified organisms (GMOs). In fact, all Love Crunch Granolas bear the Non-GMO Project Verified Seal, which helps shoppers recognize products that meet rigorous GMO avoidance practices.

And there’s even more to love about this amazing organic granola. As part of Nature’s Path’s Bite4Bite initiative, for each bag of Gingerbread Love Crunch sold, the equivalent will be donated in cereal or cash (up to $1 million) to food banks.

This is also the first Nature’s Path Fair Trade Certified product, which directly helps improve the lives of farmers and their families in developing countries by enforcing the highest standards of environmentally and socially responsible farming and processing methods. Fair Trade Certified products are sold at a fair price plus a premium, which must be used toward benefiting the local community in projects such as building schools, health care services, bringing water and electricity to villages and assistance with achieving organic certification for farmers. This enables farmers to practice environmentally sustainable farming methods (no harmful agrochemicals or genetically modified seeds), protecting their health and preserving valuable ecosystems.

To top it all off, Love Crunch Granola comes in innovative Eco-Pacs; bags designed to reduce packaging waste.

There certainly is a lot to love about Nature’s Path Organic. You can hear more about this amazing vendor partner of ours -- their initiatives, company philosophy and the sweet inspiration for Love Crunch —  in this slideshow from last January.

Hurry! While the other Love Crunch flavors — Chocolate and Red Berries, Apple Crumble (green apples, pecans and cinnamon), Carrot Cake (carrots, raisins, yogurt, pecans and pineapple) and Aloha Blend (pineapple, coconut, and white chocolate chunks) — are delicious any time of year, the Gingerbread is only available through December.

If you could dream up a special granola flavor what would it be and what would be in it? Tell us in the comments below by Wednesday, December 19  and we’ll pick a lucky winner at random to receive a case of Nature’s Path Organic Gingerbread Love Crunch.

So, what’s your very special granola flavor idea?

The fine print: No purchase necessary. Promotion ends December 19, 2012, 11:59 PM CDT. Must be a legal resident of the US or Canada (except in Quebec, where it is void) age 18 or older to participate. Taxes on prize, if applicable, are the responsibility of the winner. Employees of Whole Foods Market, Inc., are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
