On the left side of the Cathedral of Notre Dam there is a small cafe with a few outside tables. My husband and I decided to relax a few mintues after a long day of walking and sight seeing, and ordered a coffee. As we were resting and sipping our coffee, a musician playing an accordian strolled by our table and played "La vie en rose." We felt like we were sitting in a French movie. ~♥ Ahhhh, lovely ♥~

I can't say I know of a French artist. I have been looking for either a French cd or French music station to play when cooking. The best I have found is tio play the ratatouille soundtrack. Thank you for introducing this cd!!

I would truly enjoy listening to the music from Vintage France. My daughter will be leaving soon to spend a year in the south of France, working as an au pair and chef, and by listening to the vintage French music,it will take me into her world.

My go to, whenever I need a French fix, is the French chanteuse, Edith Piaf. From La Vie en Rose to Je Regrette Rien, to me, nothing compares. Just got back from France a couple of days ago and I'm already dreaming of walking the streets of Paris humming her songs.

After a semester of university study in Paris in the 90s, I would listen to Francis Cabrel for hours and hours and cry about a boy I had met there. Cabrel is still one of my favorite artists and makes me nostalgic for that time in Paris....
