Lip Collection

Since multitasking cheek-and-lip products are all the rage right now, we asked our friends at Mineral Fusion to share a few tips for applying one of our faves: Mineral Fusion 3-in-1 Color Stick, which adds color to cheeks, lips and eyes.

Even on the dreariest days, light-reflecting mineral-based cosmetics lend your skin a luminous glow. Like other cream blushes, the Mineral Fusion 3-in-1 Color Stick is more hydrating than traditional powder blush. That makes it perfect for winter, when lots of people tend to have dry skin, or for anyone with aging or normal-to-dry skin. Here’s how to apply:

  1. Smile to emphasize the apples of your cheeks.

  2. Using a circular motion, apply cream blush directly to those “apples.”

  3. Blend up and out towards the hair line with clean fingers or a makeup sponge.

Fresh Finishing Tip

For a dewy finish, set your makeup with a spritz of toner. Try Trilogy Hydrating Mist Toner.

How to Make Lip Color Last Longer

Available in a variety of colors — from Terra Cotta to Rosette to Berry Glow — Mineral Fusion 3-in-1 Color Stick is lovely for lips too. While some traditional lipsticks contain shady ingredients, Mineral Fusion products are formulated without parabens, phthalates or artificial fragrances. Here are our tips for applying 3-in-1 Color Stick to your lips:

Before: Create a smooth, absorbent canvas for your color! Exfoliate with a gentle lip product such as Eco Lips Lipscrub. (Or make your own with our simple recipe for DIY Lip Scrub opens in a new tab.)

After: Finish with a hydrating, lightly tinted lip balm, such as Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer.
