My favorite is the local honey. It is much richer than the normal fare. It is also satisfying to know where it's coming from, a real family business.

This cheese is on the pricey side but well worth since you only need a few ounces. It makes the best dressing and is a super complement to any crackers and cheese plate. I like that it doesn't have to be shipped all the way from Denmark or Italy and can hold its own in terms of aroma, flavor and texture.

I enjoy the strawberries grown locally. They have more flavor than the ones found in large grocery stores.

I am lucky that we have a ton of wonderful locally-produced food (and wine!) here in central Virginia, but my favorite is probably Twin Oaks tofu. Great stuff! :)

Daves killer bread! Not only is it the best bread on the market, but Daves story is remarkable and he has become such an outrageously generous community figure.

My favorite local food is the assortment flavors of raw honey I get at farmers markets near my home in Tampa. I use it as a sweetener and its great for cold remedies this time of year. You can't go wrong.
