I would definitely have to say the produce aisle is the best! I've never found vegetables in the winter that tasted so good. And my daughter loves sampling the cut up fruit! Besides that, i always stock up on Fruitabu and Our365 yogurt. And my best friend and I never leave without getting a vegan chocolate chip cookie!

First of all I looove Whole Foods! When I was living in Oahu I would watch Top Chef New York and be so envious that they went to Whole Foods to buy their ingredients. When my family moved to Texas from Hawaii we found out that they opened up a Whole Foods in Kahala. I was furious, when they finally opened up a Whole Foods in Hawaii.. I was living in West Texas where there is no Whole Foods. Well my family recently moved to Austin Texas (isn't this the home of Whole Foods?) and the first thing I did when I moved here was .... Go to Whole Foods!!! Yah! Now I go to Whole Foods once a week religiously for all my groceries! Oh yes, being a Mom (and on a budget) I always need a little pick me up every now and then for my sweet tooth.. my favorite buys are the Everyday Value 365 Chocolate Ice Cream. And my other top fav is their 365 boxed chocolate chip brownies. The best brownies I have ever tasted in my life!! My husband and daughter always eat my stash before I ever get a chance to get to it... LOL!

I'm SO SO lucky to live close to Sacramento's only Whole Foods market. Love the 365 store brand products, and the emphasis on fresh, healthful, clean food. We buy WF ground turkey in bulk and make a slew of burgers (some plain, some with herbs, bits of cheese, etc.) to freeze in individual serving sizes. If I want to make a pasta sauce with ground meat, I unfreeze several of them, spice them up, and YUM. Your selection of cheeses is wonderful, as well as your olive bar. I hope in the near future you might consider offering organically raised quail (fresh or flash frozen).

One of my favorite things at Whole Foods is the sausage. I come from and Italian American family and was born and raised in Brooklyn. Sausage was a very important ingredient in so many of the dishes that I grew up with. Sausage and peppers, chicken and sausage with tomatoes, Sunday gravy (y'all call it tomato sauce) to name a few were and still are dishes that evoke memories of family gatherings and Italian festivals. The sausage that is made by Whole Foods comes closest to the taste and texture that I remember and enjoy. The grind of the sausage and the balance of fat and spices to the meat is so important and Whole Foods does the best job of duplicating authentic Italian sausage. Many thanks for a wonderful product.

I think a single trip to Whole Foods Bowery could create a perfect Mother's Day in NY! I would head to the coffee bar in the morning to start the day with the requisite caffeine fix (iced coffee is the weather's right). I love the continual output of fresh breads from the bakery (especially the quinoa-flaxseed loaf). Pair that with some free-range peppered turkey, a selection of artisanal cheeses from the fromagerie, fresh berries, grapes, and melon, and a few desserts from the bakery and you've got the makings of a healthy and delicious picnic. Just head to your favorite city park, and enjoy the weather and your family. (I would also grab some pre-made foods for a hassle-free dinner and some bath salts from Whole Body for a nice, relaxing evening).

My mother just passed away in February, so I will celebrate her gift of life to me by going to the Whole Foods Market -- something we used to regularly do together -- and say hello to the people she knew there. I'll also get some of her favorite things: kefir; delights from the Deli; and pick up a couple of Pacifica candles, which are scented with botanicals and natural fragrances.

I reccommend the dry aged rib eye steak's-So good! Whole Foods is the only place to get them.

Dagoba chai chocolate bars...really good (corn free) chocolate that hits the spot. Rapunzel chocolate drops are perfect for making allergy friendly brownies and "brownie cake". And organic yams are one of our favorite side dishes...A mixture of whatever Whole Foods has, peeled and roasted with onions is simply divine. We make enough for second servings!

My family loves the prewashed salad greens with 365 salad dressings, crumbled feta cheese and olives. It is so yummy and easy! I am so grateful to Whole Foods for making my job as mom and wife so much easier without sacrificing on quality and health. That's the best Mother's Day gift of all!

Some days a mother just needs to indugle and my favorite way to indulge is to stop by the bakery section of the whole food store and pick up a fresh berry tart. It is the best especially on those days (like mother's day) when you can have a moment to yourself. I grab a slice and cup of allegro pomegranate green tea (another whole foods favorite) and have a seat with a great view and maybe even share a slice or two with a couple of other moms over a little girl talk.

Besides enjoying the variety of international cheeses at WHOLE FOODS, I'm a big fan of the Ethnic Gourmet brand all-natural Chicken Tikka Masala frozen meal. For a fraction of the price you'd pay at an Indian restaurant, this mildly-spiced entree offers an authentically aromatic tikka sauce. The best part... ample sauce is supplied to add 4-5 of your own, browned chicken tenders or one (1) cutlet. Cut into bite-size cubes, I pan sear the raw chicken a few minutes while the frozen entree is cooking in the microwave. By the time it's finished in the microwave, I pour the colorful chicken mixture portion into my warm pan and simmer all together for a few more minutes, to assure the added chicken is cooked thru. I serve the accompanying basmati rice in a small bowl, pouring the thoroughly coated tikka masala chicken on top. You'll have a sumptuous, hearty Indian dish to enjoy in no time, with mesmerizing aromas filling your kitchen!

Whole Foods. Whole Trade Flowers. Whole Happy Mom!

Liza says …

Favorite Mother's Day gifts are 1) Whole Foods Fair Trade flowers (my mom does not have a green thumb but she loves flowers so I quit buying plants) 2) 365 chocolate (she has the biggest sweet tooth!) 3) Whole Foods Hand Salve (she never treats herself so Mother's Day is the perfect opportunity to help her pamper herself)

I shop at WF because I can't find fresh organic produce with a decent price anywhere else. I also love the olive bar and the butcher section. Oh the smoked fish and the seafood is amazing too. My son and I have breakfast there every Saturday morning and that's super special!

Ok, it is very hard to pick only one product that I really like from Whole Foods, but last month a friend of the family told me about your coconut oil ( whole foods brand ) and I can't believe how wonderful my food taste when I use that oil. I also realized that I can even fry with coconut oil because this is a better alternative because it contains very few fats and also has NO TRANS-FATS.

I love all of the 365 items. I had the privilege to take the store tour after watching Emeril Green on Planet Green. At the end of the tour, you are given a bag of items from Whole Foods Market, the bag by the way is one of the reusable totes! I learned so much from the tour and have been shopping there ever since, even though I have to drive almost 50 miles to do so, one way. I love the 365 Raspberry Soda, 365 tomato products, and the 365 pastas! I also love Burt's Bees items and have bought all of them from WFM now instead of hunting them down in other stores. Their section is always well stocked, so I know I'll be able to find whatever I am looking for. I also love the bulk items, especially the diet trail mix, which I buy atleast 2 pounds of each trip and the honey sesame sticks. My 6 year old son loves the yogurt covered pretzels and expects them every time I go! If mothers are looking for snacks, the 365 chips are the way to go, still giving your kids chips, but atleast knowing they are healthier than your average chip. My son is especially fond of the blue potato chips. Keep up the good work Whole Foods and know I'd drive as far as I needed to to know I am getting quality items for my family!

I LOVE the chocolate aisle. I used be a chocolatier and miss divine chocolates. And if there is one thing that my Mother can not get enough of it's chocolate and she mourns my leaving that job more than me moving away. I often buy a bar or two for folks for anything from a birthday to a "hope your day gets better from here on out" gift.

Maybe expand to carry gluten free and kosher products..Paskesz makes some really great cookies and chinese noodles currently not offered anywhere else in my town of Indianapolis. More events would be good and things for children!

I regularly use the recipes that I receive through the Whole Foods newsletter. I can save the ones that I think I will be able to prepare and use them to create a shopping list to take with me to WF. I also appreciate the increasing number of videocasts that help me become a better cook. What a great way to diversify my menus and learn new recipes.

Stephanie says …

The fresh ground almond butter is my all time favorite and the cheese counter and finally the sushi. I appreciate having a Whole Foods within walking distance of my home. Thank you for all of your goodness!

We love WHOLE FOODS. My daughter started kindergarten last year and my biggest concern was "what is she going to eat at school." Well, it's almost been a year and my daughter, and my entire family have converted to Whole Foods. From the turkey in the deli - (free of hormones and nitrates) to the pre-packaged items when in a hurry are great! I also help my mother who doesn't drive and I will tell you some of her favorite things I make are from whole foods. She'll ofen say -"can you get me some of those Ginger Snaps" the ones in the shiny package. The seafood is the best. Wild caught Halibut - delish! The organic fruits..I buy one of each apple just to try them..and now I have my favorites.. Love the milk bottle - just like my mom had delivered to her home when she was a young girl. Love the Edamame - frozen section (Sponge Bob packaging Brilliant) My kids love to help me with dinner..last night we had Whole Foods chicken...Edamame, a organic peach with cottage cheese..and we cooked the wonderful pre-made crabcakes for my mom to have today! Tonight it's Whole Foods fishsticks and the orgainic tator tots! We might even have to go get a piece of the Berry Chantilly cake for dessert! We truly love your store! And we get $.10 for our recyled bags~Love that!

My kids love the hummus with Veggie Chips from Whole Foods! They also love Snap Pea Crisps and it is perfect for lunches! Personally, I love the yogurt and granola (pre-made) cups. They are always my special treat for after shopping. :) I also love the 365 Gluten Free brand. It makes shopping for GF items much more affordable. Thanks!

I would have to say the Whole Foods babaganoush hummus with some yummy organic carrots and Stacy's Pita chips with some Santa Cruz, Strawberry Lemonade. My mom and I always enjoy snacking on these treats especially on those warm Saturday afternoons and we top it off with some Brownie Bites if we had a long week! =)

I switched all of our bath products to your brand because I feel like there is alot of value for the money and the products don't contain all of the chemicals that other brands do. I also LOVE the variety of skin care products you carry such as Kiss My Face sunscreen. I also just made the switch to Mrs. Meyer's dryer sheets after I read about all of the ingredients in regular dryer sheets in Kiwi Magazine. Way to go!

My family loves this jam that is made locally by Oregon's Best Berry Empire. They created their own berry called Berry Empire. Also cost is around 5.00. You can use it for icecream, fruits, or peanut butter and jam sandwiches. I also love all the yogi teas, great selection. They have the BEST marshmellows called Butter. They melt in your mouth. Also another local soap maker we love is Ballard Organics from Seattle Wa . I also love Dr. Hauscka products. Enjoy trying something new!

My fiancee, my future mother in law and the whole family love Whole Foods and love eating all kinds of foods. Since my fiancee and I are Vegetarian it can sometimes be hard to find really good vegetarian and vegan food that everyone will enjoy (even staunch meat lovers). Our favorite pick from Whole Foods is the Vegan General Tso's "Chicken". We probably get a container to go after work once a week or every other week. It is soo delicious and the excellent thing about it is that everyone we have recommended it to loves it, regardless of being vegetarian, vegan or not. Pair it with some rice or more roasted veggies from the hot bar, grab a bottle of wine and you've got a delicious feast. Of course there's also the black bean quesadillas, yummy samosas, plantain salad, the awesome fresh sushi, my favorite macaroni salad in the world, any of the hot pizzas...I could go on...

Laurette says …

365 brand vegetarian chili with vegan gourmet cheese to shred on top, some cholula hotsauce, and some nice rolls from the bakeshop area.

Stephanie Hagee says …

Veggie pizza and a nice salad with all sorts of greens, carrots and other fresh vegetables. And, of course, some nice Tofutti for dessert!! Easy and FABULOUS dinner!

The element of surprise is what I like most about Whole Foods. I can depend on all the basics to stock the pantry and then I encounter yet another new tasty morsel. Whole Foods is a kaleidoscopic shopping experience, voila.

Jeanine says …

One of my favorites is the Vosges chocolates. They come in exotic flavors that you wouldn't expect to taste good with chocolate - but hey are oh, so good! The Naga bar with curry is my absolute favorite. If you like curry, the Naga bar will blow you away. Oh, and it pairs well with a dry red wine.

Heather McClees says …

The first stop in Whole Foods for me is always the produce section. I can't get enough of all the fresh, local flavors and exotic-looking, fresh tasting produce that is available year round at the store. I also head straight to the yogurt section and stock up on Fage 0% yogurt ( deliciously creamy) and Chobani Greek yogurt. Greek Gods is a great version to. If you buy the plain kind with no added sugar, you're in for a healthy dose of protein with no unhealthy side effects and a truly creamy treat. TIP- Freeze it for an hour and a half, sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy!:) Oh! I also love the natural peanut butters and almond butters at Whole Foods! YUM!! Grind your own for a special treat, and even add it to the yogurt for a yummy desert!

How about a monthly foot massage until next Mother's Day? I love the Alba cocoa butter hand and body lotion especially for my feet. This gift doesn't cost a lot, but will make you feel like a million and last the whole year.

Paula (S.) says …

A treat for me is to choose the ingredients for a sandwich and ask the maker to "panini-it please". So many proteins, veggies and condiments to choose from. I even share my favorites with other customers in line--such as the time a young lady, who had never tried basil pesto, seemed eager to try it after our visit. Have always enjoyed the large selection of cheeses and the invitation to taste them which leads to learning about, enjoying and broadening my food experiences. I could go on and on: the sesame sticks in bulk bins, the frozen Indian cuisine meals, the decadent butternut squash soup. . . but I must end with this--while sampling food, cruising aisles and picking packages off the shelves, I often visit the convenient, CLEAN, fresh-flower-accented restroom with lavender-scented soap!!! Thanks for keeping it up :-) (please note: I only sample fruit, chips, etc, in the tabled plastic domes. Never "sample" in the bulk bins---those I bag and buy.)

I love flowers, and love being community responsible, so I really appreciate the flowers that have the Veriflora Certified label that show they are grown in the U.S. or abroad that meet draft national standards for sustainability. My mom gets beautiful flowers, I get to feel like I'm doing something to help the earth and its inhabitants./

For Mother's Day, I'm going to put together a gift bag using Whole Foods whole body products and cosmetics. I appreciate that these products do not contain all of the harmful chemicals other body and make-up products contain... chemicals which have been linked to cancer and/or reproductive damage. I will package the products in one of Whole Foods eco bags, so that she has a bag to use when she does her grocery shopping at Whole Foods. Thanks Whole Foods for making my Mother's Day shopping easy.

Aditi says …

I love whole foods...feels like a safe place...and the prices have become close to the prices i pay anywhere else

I like vegetarian sushi roll in brown rice. Has such great taste. I also like the dessart tarts in the bakery. I can get just one and it's enough to just indulge a tiny bit.

Would really love to see a Whole Foods Market in my area. I live near Rancho Cucamonga. Vons,Albertsons and Ralphs just does not do it!!! Trader Joes is great but doesn't have so many things. Whole Foods would be the answer, not just for me but for so many other people out here. Please consider coming out here and end our humdrum market experience!!!

Jane says …

A relatively new shopper at Whole Foods---about a year. The store is close ,the hours are within my shopping day and the staff are always helpful. As a careful shopper, I appreciate the 365 store brand. Would love to see bags of really ripe bananas at a reduced rate--great for breads and muffins.

Melinda Dastrup says …

My favorite get-by foods are the Probugs. My daughter loves them. They don't spill and have great probiotics. I am new to vegetarianism so the fake meat products are all helping.

I doubt there is any question that moms should not have to cook on Mother's Day. So I often find myself in that catch 22 of being a mom myself. Because of this, I plan to visit the Whole Foods Market Deli on Mother's Day. Let them cook your entire gourmet affair! I pick my favorites and my mother's favorites and we're good to go. (I highly recommend the samosas with a chutney or plum sauce.)

Joyce Smallman says …

My daughter worked for Whole Foods and that's how I got started shopping there. I've been a loyal customer since! One of the nicest things about Whole Foods is that you can get the meat and fish in the cut and portions that you like. The personal touch of friendly staff is so important. My favorite things to purchase are fresh vegetables and fish to have my husband cook on the BBQ. Of course while he's BBQ'ing my fish I'm usually broiling or sauteing his scallops! We also usually have fresh bread with some kind of cheese for an appetizer or with our meal. Dessert is usually one of the "singles" (so that we can each get what we want)or if it's available we get the homemade applesauce.

Emily CAmpbell says …

I love the Earth Balance spreads- I use them all the time and my husband doesn't even notice the difference. Make it special by adding some fresh garlic and parsley or some dill. Any fresh green herbs mixed in would be delicious, add a little lemon zest for zip.

Lisa says …

My mom loves the fresh fish and produce at whole foods. All of the employees are so helpful and patient at the Union, NJ location.

Catrina says …

Go to Whole Foods, put a flower arrangement together, grab a whole catch of maui maui and make the seafood tacos. Ofcourse this is after you treat her to a 5 minute massage and a trip to the Botanic Gardens, enjoy!

Dawn says …

The name of the store speaks for itself. Whole foods and much more to maintain a healthy lifestyle and keep the environment healthy as well. Shopping there alleviates all negative concerns about the health of your family and that is a dream in itself. My all time favorite is the salad bar! You absolutely can't get the quality and options anywhere, there is no comparison! If you haven't tried it, you must! Other favorites are the flowers. You will surely impress Mom with anything you can pick out from the floral department, unique and brilliant. Don't forget to swing by the produce section.. you won't find a more attractive healthful produce section anywhere, I promise!

Peg Mixter says …

I just love all of the whole grain bread that is available at Whole Foods. It tastes like bread should and has lots of fiber. Bread is not fattening if you eat a samll portion and why should I eat bad tasting bread.

rebecca hackett says …

Their goat's milk butter is the best. Put is on toast with a little bit of agave nectar. Yum!
