After reading "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Fallon I started cooking from scratch and getting my family to eat more raw foods. The grocery stores around me didn't have any organic food. Fortunately I found a Whole Foods 2 towns away. It's a 30 minute drive each way, but well worth it. Not only is there a great selection of foods, but the employees are so friendly, positive, and helpful it makes shopping there a joy. From special ordering whole fish for me, to going in the back to check if they have something, they never make me feel like I'm imposing. Great job!

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I loaded up on fresh fruits and vegetables, Stoneyfield Farms yogurt with freshly prepared granola, Nancy's Organic kefir, and several of Whole Foods' prepared meals. Whole Foods made it easy to maintain a healthy diet.

I love shopping at WF. We have to drive down from the Upper Peninsula (MI) to shop at the store in Milwaukee, but I feel so happy knowing that the majority of things in the store are so much better for my little guy who's a year old. Whether it's food, clothing, toys, or even coffee, I know that WF has an earth conscious approach to the things that they sell. Thanks WF! My faves are the 365 roasted honey cranberry bars and the larabars!

My husband and I are planning to make all of our new daughter's solid food from organic produce. Thank you so much for opening our eyes to the importance of organics for babies. Whole Foods makes this task easy to do with confidence. We're so pleased to be starting her off on the right track to healthful eating.

Mom and I usually celebrate with a good brunch out on the town. Baltimore offers many good restaurants for brunch. This year is special as my sister is coming home from France that very same day. I will make a spinach Southwestern egg casserole with bagels and cream cheese for brunch instead. For product recommendations...your store is very comprehensive in carrying good, nutritionally sound, eco friendly products. I have been able to expand my base because of your store. I think instead I'd recommend a new service: Delivery and shipment of groceries to those who may not be so close to your lovely locations. Regards, Laura

We make a special trip each week to Whole Foods for the fresh organic fruit (a quick easy snack for my daughter), the Heidi's Hens frozen organic ground turkey (all white meat), the pre-marinated chicken kabobs in the meat section are delicious and help to make a fun meal, and the pre-made meal selections in the deli make a my life a bit easier on those busy days when I don't have time to cook. Oh, and the cheese section is to die for.

As a working mom of 2 boys under the age of 5, life never seems to slow down. So it's nice to be able to run into Whole Foods and pick from the variety of pre-made dinners that we can take home, heat up and eat. My oldest likes helping pick out the meal and helping "prepare it" at home. Saves me a ton of time... meaning more time I get to spend with my boys. On days when it's nice and hot outside, we'll stop by the gelato counter for a treat too. Nothing better... and quite healthy too. However, I do find it very enticing to walk by and have to smell the pizza baking in the ovens. It's so tempting to pull up a chair and indulge in a cheesy slice of pizza. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE shopping at Whole Foods!

My absolute favorite is the Purely Decadent Mint Chocolate Chip NON-DAIRY Frozen Dessert. I've been eating ever since I transitioned to vegetarian. It's soooo good, and I don't even miss the SAD ice creams I used to eat before. The kicker is that the kids love it too!

To me, celebrating being a mother all boils down to.........gelato! All flavors are adequate: Chocolate, hazelnut, pistachio, peach, mango, raspberry, and lemon are my favs. Nothing really compares to a nice scoop of gelato on a warm spring day. Maybe share a little with the kids too, or not!

Mom would love to be surprised with breakfast in bed. Start off in the produce section and pick up a nice selection of assorted fresh fruit for a fruit salad. Head over to the bakery and pick out some croissants or a nice fresh loaf of bread. A nice steaming cup of 365 coffee and a tall, cold glass of 365 organic orange juice would top it off nicely. And don't forget to grab some flowers in the floral department. All of Mom's breakfast favorites made by you, with love. What better way to start her special day!

Personally, I love that Whole Foods has such a wide variety of healthy options for my family. I love to cook, and I try to cook a homemade meal every night, but sometimes, it just isn't possible. I moved earlier this year, and I didn't want to remove my daughter from her kindergarten class mid-year, so instead I commute an hour every morning and evening to take her to school and pick her up... so at times, I just want to go home and veg. Whole Foods saves me every time from having to serve my family greasy, fat filled fast food or take out meals. Besides the fresh cut fruits and vegetables that I can use to throw together something quickly and easily, I love the salmon roulettes and crab cakes, and other prepared seafood and meat main courses that I can bring home, throw in a pan with a little olive oil, or in the oven, and have a wonderfully delicious, flavorful, and healthy meal. I really enjoy experimenting with foods I've never had the chance to cook with before, as well, and I love that I can find so many specialty foods at Whole Foods that I can't find at a local grocery store... and the quality is outstanding. Where else am I going to find 3 or 4 different kinds of amazing looking prosciutto??? And those huge bay scallops, fresh oysters and clams? (okay, now I'm hungry) The organic sorbet bar is what really spoils me, though. At the end of a rough day, there is nothing quite like curling up on the couch with a couple of scoops of the Blackberry Cabernet Sorbet, my dog, my man, and a show on the Discovery Channel HD Suite. My mom loves Belgian Chocolate Cake... I'm definitely picking one up for her for Mother's Day from the desert bar!!!

Sadly the closest Whole Foods is 3 hours away for us, but we always make it a part of our plans when we are in the area! As a mother of two little ones I would love a Mother's Day gift basket from Whole Foods! We are a Celiac family, so I would definitely want a couple of bags of 365 rice crackers with some yummy cheese. I would also love something from the fresh deli or some brown rice sushi! Some organic, fair trade decaf coffee and a beautiful bouquet of flowers would round it out and make me a very happy mom!

For Mother's Day I would love to pamper my mom with a home spa party, including a foot soak and cream with the Aura Cacia products, followed by some homemade cheese fondue with Emmentalier cheese from the cheese department and fume blanc from the wine department and some crusty french bread from the bakery - then maybe a chocolate dessert fondue with the Vahlrona Chocolate and the homemade marshmallows and fresh strawberries to dip it in. Finally, I would send mom home, relaxed & full with a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the flower department. one stop shopping at Whole Foods!

For this mother's day, I'll be investing in some high quality buffalo meat for our mother's day meal! Buffalo meat is a lot leaner than beef and even chicken and I know my mom will enjoy it! Throw in some whole body soothing oils and bubble baths and my mom is set to have a fantastic mothers' day!

We love WF! It's a bit of a drive from our town to one of the stores in Atlanta, but so worth it. A few of our regulars are the prepared salads and fresh roasted nuts. We visit the cheese and pick a new one every trip - staff are so helpful! We grind up our own peanut butter and choose a couple of specially seasoned salmon filets for yummy grilling. We enjoy the Greek yogurt and wonderful coffees, too. Locally grown is very important to us and the honey and strawberries never disappoint. We appreciate Fair Trade. Wish you were closer to us! :)

My kids are so spoiled by the yummy treats and foods that they have always eaten at Whole Foods. My son use to snack on a brown rice and spinach cake from the deli while we shopped. Now that he is in preschool he refuses to eat the school snacks. He turns his nose up to the processed, yellow cheese and the hydrogenated-oil/high-fructose corn syrup cookies and crackers they offer. So I have to send his "Whole Foods" snacks. You've always made being a good mom easy -- which is such a good feeling on Mother's Day!!
