It is awesome to know people still care about generational crafting! These time honored skills are really falling by the wayside and it's sad. Our children today, for the majority, are growing up not knowing what our ancestors learned from their elders. They are totally technological and haven't a clue where our products come from, who makes them, how, and where it's origination is. I'm all for this company to make it and others like it. Awesome!

Rewarding the farmers and workers from poverty stricken countries by supporting their efforts and production in a fair way where they will be given a chance to make a living rather than the large often foreign combines is a worthy endeavor. It is your efforts that may make a change in those individuals lives

I believe in Free-Trade; because as a responsible consumer I'm doing my part to ensure farmers are being compensated fairly for their labors.

Alaffia's story made me cheer for the triumph of the human spirit! Bravo for Whole Foods engagement, philosophy, and commitment. I wish more of the world trade was made of this type of "industry" and hope that this story and the Whole Trade endeavor will become contagious!

It makes me happy when happy products come from happy people, who have been honored for their work. It makes me happy when the ground and the earth are given a chance to be renewed. Fair trade is just plain fair. Thank you

I think the best thing about buying fair trade items, is that you know you aren't contributing to the continuation of grinding poverty, but paying a fair living wage to someone who has produced something of value to you. The producer is making the profit, not a huge multi-national corporation that has not contributed to the production, except possibly transportation.

The whole trade guarentee is genius! It is even more important today to help the environment and its people to get back to basics and keep pesticides and toxins from our children and soils. Treating both the environment and people with the respect we deserve is the goal of "Whole Trade." Congratulations to Whole Foods for helping the world be a better place to live!

It is my way of reaching out to connect with others in the world who may not have the advantages I have. If in some small way, by simply purchasing a product I can be of help then it is a good thing. This connection between peoples of the world must start with each of us caring.

I feel that supporting Fair Trade should be an important goal for all global citizens. We should all ask our favorite markets to sell more fair trade items. This enables third world countries to ensure that their goods are sold at a fair price and the employees receive a fair wage.

I believe if we can help underdeveloped countries become self sustaining, it will help us all, it will also help the environment since the products are still made the old fashioned way, not industrialized. I am all for doing things the natural way and try to do my my part to go green. I also love shea products, my skin is very dry and this is one of the best products for dry skin with out petroleum products. I think that fair trade is the best thing to help these underdeveloped countries and I support fair trade because I know the people are getting more to help their families.

I love the fact that what I choose to buy helps a small business somewhere in the world. Helping woman to be independent is important but so is helping men. It gives them dignity and a fair price for what they produce.

I am from Tanzania & back home we always ate organic stuff since it is not that industrialized / commercialized yet. So when I buy from Whole Foods, I get a taste of back home without spending the money for airfare to actually go back home!

Responsibility, awareness, respect, and commitment...those are words that come to mind when thinking of whole trade. Many times I struggle with how to make the most of my time, talents, and opportunities. Supporting whole trade is global love that everyone can take part in no matter what your personal circumstances are. Spread love and it comes back to you.
