In their own words...
At Via Elisa, quality and freshness are the hallmarks of our work and we respect your love of pasta as one of the world's most satisfying foods. We use 100% organic flours, 100% organic semolina, eggs from free-range hens and luxurious cheeses imported directly from Italy. Our shared time at the table should nourish the spirit as well as the body. We cherish and follow Italian methods and culinary traditions by filling our pasta with a minimal number of the finest ingredients; simple, authentic, delicious. We come to the pasta shop early and begin cooking from scratch. Via Elisa Fresh Pasta is not processed; we never destroy the outstanding flavor and texture through pasteurization.

Via Elisa is also a recipient of our Local Producer Loan Program. Via Elisa was started in 2002. Since then, Elisa Gambino has transitioned her product line from fresh pastas to pasta sauces. Note: Our Farm to Market slide shows currently feature farmers and producers from our South and MidAtlantic Regions. We hope to expand to others in the future.

I am lucky enough to be a friend of Elisa and was able to be a regular customer when she first opened her shop. Her pasta was delicious then as it is now. Having her pasta at Whole Foods is a greater bonus for me since I now have 1 stop shopping for my pasta as well as meats, vegetables, fruits, and wine! Thank you Whole Foods and Elisa!

Elisa completes the personal and local food experience by creating a community of pasta lovers in local neighborhoods across Atlanta. Once a week, she brings her pasta truck to my neighborhood, where families line up on the sidewalk, bellies hungry and tastebuds salivating. While kids play and grown ups connect, Elisa shares recipes for fresh, healthy food. And of course, she directs us back to Whole Foods for all the best ingredients. It is the modern day version of the ice cream truck and Elisa is the "pasta lady" that we are all waiting for with baited breath on Thursday nights.

I use Elisa's pastas on all of my seasonal menus. Her creations are show-stopping and make me look like a catering super star. Guests always comment on the pasta dishes, telling me how wonderful they taste. I keep the sauces simple and let the fresh, whole goodness of her pastas shine through. And my kids go nuts when I bring home the spinach gnocchi!

It's amazing how many neighbors and friends I see there. If you are a true foodie you must try Elisa's pasta or relinquish your foodie title.

When I learned of Via Elisa I had to stop in. The fresh pasta selection was outstanding. The meat and cheese counter in her little shop really helped put me back in time to a wonderful vacation I had in Italy. After taking home a few different choices I stopped trying to make my own pasta and left it to the professionals. Once when driving home from work, I was passed by a vehicle with a bumper sticker that said, "Follow me to Italy!" I was disappointed when it did NOT exit at Howell Mill Rd to go to Via Elisa, but I did, and hosted a fun, impromtu dinner that evening for a few good friends. Everyone enjoyed, as usual. Thank you, Whole Foods, for helping keep FRESH alive!

Larry and I now have homemade pasta at home weekly, thanks to Elisa. I spent 6 weeks in Italy last year and Elisa's meals elicit wonderful memories of the pastas I had there.

Congrats from sunny Calif., what a lovely marriage of two excellent food sources, Via Elisa and Whole Foods. However, we are only lucky enough to have Whole Foods here, certainly could use a Via Elisa, but know she can't be duplicated. Had the pleasure of visiting Elisa's kitchen first hand, what a glorious experience.

I can't wait until this is available in the NY metro area. Elisa's passion for quality pasta is very special. I can personally vouch for her (and her pasta's) authenticity. It's a pleasure to see my dear friend bringing this exquisite aspect of life in Italy to American homes.

The best ingredient at Via Elisa is not in the pasta: it's Elisa. She has a passion for her business and it shows through in the product! Bellissimo!

To me, Via Elisa fresh pasta is already synonymous with the very best food you can buy. I miss it everytime I buy "fresh" pasta here in Amsterdam--even at the very best Italian deli's. My kids miss it too. Very tough to compare but I'll keep hoping!! And never mind longing for a Whole Foods, that is far too frustrating.

Via Elisa pasta is the best you will ever eat. Only the very finest, freshest ingredients are used--other people say this, but Elisa actually lives it. We are incredibly lucky to have her talents in Atlanta.

I love, love, love Elisa's pasta!! Being the foodie and Italian food freak that I am, I discovered Via Elisa early on and have been enjoying it for years. I was also fascinated to learn the true American entrepreneurial story of how Elisa and her husband left their jobs at CNN to open the shop and struggled to make it a success. She has also been a strong leader and advocate of the local, fresh food movement here in Atlanta and a creative force behind the wonderful Peachtree Road Farmers Market, a weekly stop for me. I have had just about all of her pasta and have asked her on several occasions to make fresh canelloni and lasagna sheets for me - of course, getting rave reviews from dinner guests. I have friends that bring a cooler when they visit from Tallahassee so they can take the pasta home, and when I travel to see friends and family, they ask me to bring them pasta! As you can tell, I'm a big fan and wish Elisa continued success! Keep that great pasta coming!!

I have been buying pasta from Via Elisa since she first opened. I was living in Chicago and would take it back on the plane. I now live in Atlanta, and while I didn't move here to be closer to Via Elisa, it is a nice plus to the move. I am so happy to see how well they are doing and to watch this video.

We're proud to say we knew Elisa when we worked with her overseas for CNN. She was the hit of rather bleak days on the road covering some of the biggest international stories -- where she'd cook up her pasta creations for us on portable cookery -- in the worst conditions (war zones, etc.) that you can imagine. We were proud to know her then and are especially proud that the world is finding out about her talent and passion for pasta now. Go Elisa!

Via Elisa's pasta is just awesome. As someone who was spoiled by fresh pasta and "gravy" for most of my life in Philadelphia prior to moving to Atlanta, I was thrilled when Elisa opened her store. She uses the finest, freshest ingredients which is reflected in the flavor of her pasta and sauces. I take it with me when visit friends and family (it's actually far better than what spoiled me growing up!). I love her shop and am so happy to have the convenience of Whole Foods now as well. Elisa is gracious with recommending recipes and encouraging me to try new menus. And I'm pleased with Whole Foods commitment to supporting small local businesses. Just another reason to shop at Whole Foods...

The closest you can come to enjoying a meal in Italy is having Elisa's pasta. It is totally authentic in every respect, including the woman behind it all. Elisa is an extraordinary woman who pursued her passion, and luckily for us her passion was pasta!
