As the receptionist at the Whole Foods Market Global Support offices, I’m here to help set the record straight on recurring questions that I receive daily from interested investors, customers and potential new Team Members. Here are a few I’ve answered recently: Q: “I’m so excited there is a Whole Foods Market headed to my area, how do I find out when they will be opening? Also, how do I apply for a job at the new store?”

As the receptionist at the Whole Foods Market Global Support offices, I’m here to help set the record straight on recurring questions that I receive daily from interested investors, customers and potential new Team Members. Here are a few I’ve answered recently:

Q: “I’m so excited there is a Whole Foods Market headed to my area, how do I find out when they will be opening? Also, how do I apply for a job at the new store?”

A: We’re excited one of our stores is headed to your area as well! First, check out our list of Stores in Development opens in a new tab to verify the information you’ve heard is correct and that we do have a store coming to your area.  Once that’s confirmed, the regional office opens in a new tab overseeing that store opening will have the most accurate information on opening dates. (The regional office page shows a breakdown of the states that each regional office oversees.)

If you are interested in working with us, the regional office can also let you know when they will start the application process. Typically, each region posts the open positions once they are ready to begin the hiring process. Keep in mind, though, that all of our dates are tentative. We hope that each store opening will be a seamless process but sometimes, just like in life, there are bumps along the way!

Q: “I want to invest in your company, how can I receive more information about your annual earnings?”

A: This is the perfect time of year to learn about our annual earnings. We just released our 2011 Annual Report opens in a new tab.

Q: “Do you have any quick tips for saving money at your store?”

A: I sure do! I know that during the hustle and bustle of everyday life it requires extra time to think about saving money.

We’ve taken on some of the research for you!

A great publication that we offer in stores and online is The Whole Deal opens in a new tab value guide opens in a new tab, which offers coupons, money saving tips and budget-friendly recipes.  You can easily print coupons opens in a new tab directly from our website. Another great trick while shopping in our store is to look for our 365 Everyday Value opens in a new tab® products that offer great quality at an even better value. Buying large quantities can also be a great way to cut some costs.

Another great idea is that I often keep a reusable shopping bag and coffee mug at my desk, or in my car, so I can take it with me when I shop because you can get discounts for using those items at participating stores!

Keep in mind that since we are a decentralized company, you’ll want to check with your local store opens in a new tab to make sure they participate in any program I mention. We empower our stores and regions to decide what programs they want to offer depending on the needs of their customers. If you hear about something going on in another region that interests you, let your store know about it!
