Fourth of July Favorites

American flag T-shirts; red, white and blue décor; news segments on the Founding Fathers … yup, it must be almost time for Independence Day! For me, it’s an opportunity to see the joy on my son’s face while he watches fireworks set to the national anthem. It’s not just patriotic pride that brings us together on July Fourth, but it’s also the love of connecting with family and friends.

When that’s done over fireworks and food that makes for a particularly great celebration! Here are a few ideas to help you get ready for the quintessential bash of the summer season, from salad to dessert.

Lots of grilled vegan burgers and veggies, boatloads of fresh fruits and fruit salads, vegan pasta and veggie salads, strawberry pies and handpies and wine-soaked strawberries and peaches. Occasionally a spiked melon or two. ;)
