It's all about the dips in our house. I like to put out different spreads like hummus, fresh salsa and we dip veggies or crackers - a big hit with adults and kids alike!

I make yogurt parfaits because most yogurt brands offer coupons leaving more $ for parfait extravagances and additions, i.e. dragon fruit. Plain or Greek style vanilla yogurt is amazing with layers inbetween of almonds or peanuts and--for me--bananas, 1 teaspoon honey and a few strawberry slices.

Greetings; My name is Kurtis; I am a lover of food and often create recipes to satisfy my adventurous eating habits. I came up with this easy ten-minute brown sugar Brussels sprout recipe. My supplies are one large skillet, unsalted butter, a tablespoon, cinnamon, Brussels sprouts, and one small cutting knife. I take an 8 oz. pack of Brussels sprouts, wash them, and cut an x on top of each one. Rinse them under cold water. I take a large non-stick skillet, heat it on a low fire, and add a tablespoon of unsalted butter. I then add the Brussels sprouts to the melted butter in the pan. As the Brussels sprouts heat up I sprinkle four tablespoons of cinnamon over them. Stir them around until the cinnamon and butter caramelize. The actual cooking process takes 3 - 4 minutes. Prep time takes 6 minutes or less.

I just made my new favorite snack tonight - raw almonds, tossed with a little bit of oil, and spices/flavorings (salt, sugar, cinnamon, allspice, and ground clove), and toasted briefly in the oven until browned. Delicious!

One of my favorite snacks, especially during the fall, is a special apple dip that I make. I mix about a cup of plai or vanilla greek yogurt with a few tablespoons 1/3 less fat cream cheese. I also mix in a few tablespoons of peanut or almond butter and some caramel. The I finish it off with a dash of cinnamon!

Home-made zucchini bran bread! So moist and it's slightly sweet. Made with white flour, whole wheat flour and bran. Spread with peanut butter for some added protein. My 2 year old LOVES this bread! My recipe makes 2 loaves, one for now and one for the freezer!

My favorite is a whole wheat tortilla covered with one of the laughing cow cheese wedges (chive one is my favorite). I then fill with fresh spinach, bell pepper, cucumber and a few black olives. Then right before eating I warm in microwave for like 30 seconds. Delish!
