Snacks should be colorful, healthy, and FAST. For a drink, I like blending up a fruit smoothie with any variety of fruits. Plus! I like to add a little chia seeds, hemp seeds and wheat germ-depending on my mood. Then on the side, some homemade hummus, toasted honey wheat pita chips with a selection of veggies that I try to always have pre-cut veggies ready to grab and dip away!

I made these "healthy" breakfast cookies. 1 c. rolled oats, 1/2 c. whole wheat flour, 1/4 c. dry milk powder, 2 t. cinnamon, and 1/4 t. baking soda for the dry ingredients. 1/2 c. mashed banana, 1/2 c. honey, 1/2 c. peanut butter, and 1 t. vanilla for the wet ingredients. mix wet, mix dry, then mix together. then fold in 1 c. of craisins. scoop with a 1/4 c. measuring cup onto greased cookie sheet. then flatten with the bottom of a glass (wet with water). bake 12-16 minutes at 350, depending on your oven. store up to 3 days or freeze up to 2 months.

My favorite is Justin's Honey Almond Butter on the cheddar pumpkin-seed Dr. Kracker. Such a good combo! A little sweet, a little crunchy, very satisfying. (It's nice to have a couple of apple slices with it too!).

I like to make salmon salad with wild red canned salmon, organic mayo, celery and simply have it on top of an organic rice cake, or homemade chicken salad wrapped up in a romaine lettuce leaf, or just good dark chocolate just by itself or dipped in fresh organic peanut butter!

I have been making green smoothies with some orange juice, fresh spinach, ginger, grapes, celery and some peach or nectarine, whip up with crushed ice and about 1 cup water in the blender until smooth, it is really delish! I also keep a siploc container in the freezer with grated coconut (that I buy in the bulk bins)some raisins and lots of raw nuts. Really filling and quick and nutritious. thanks Whole Foods for providing so many options
