My favorite snacks are: chopped carrots and/or broccoli with low fat ranch dressing (of course I take it easy with the Ranch, Usually a teaspoon will satisfy), and I also like to mix raisins and peanuts for my own lil' trail mix. And lastly, when I'm in doubt, I can always resort to plain old fresh fruit!

My kids still love the healthy, easy snacks my mother gave me after school, including fresh Peanut Butter stuffed into Organic Celery Stalks and Organic Carrot sticks dipped into Ranch or your favorite Salad Dressing. Store the Celery and Carrots already cut up for serving in cold water in your refrigerator for almost instant, healthy snacking. They pack up easily for kids to bring to school for snacking.

We're big apple eaters, especially this time of year. We'll take a whole apple and use an apple wedger to cut almost all the way through, then back it out of the apple. Squish the apple together and wrap in plastic wrap, and it won't turn brown. No need to dip in anything. The wedges break off easily for dipping in organic peanut butter. Yum!

Here is how it's made: -1 serving of Whole foods chocolate whey protein powder. -1 cup of coconut milk (reduced with water). -4 3 cups of purified filtered water. -2 stems of mint leaves (fresh). Blend all together (I use a magic bullet) and serve on ice. It's a wonderful snack to supplement your bodies dire need for some healthy whey protein and very delicious!

It is fun to add some drama to making a snack. My daughter likes to put on a chef hat, and then we create new snacks. Our latest is wrapping things around pretzel sticks, like cheese or meat with lettuce.

A whole wheat tortilla makes a great wrap. Spread with a small amount of hummus, add some tomato slices and shredded lettuce, shredded carrot. Also good is a small amount of light cream cheese and a slice of turkey. Roll up and slice into 2 pieces. Both options are quick, nutritious and very good.
