I love my local produce deliveries! I get deliveries right to my door. It lets me eat the way I want to as it is already selected and in my home before I can go shopping and select things that I think I want instead. Food is brighter, fresher and most delicious! I feel I am eating food that is quite alive and very green-not depleted of it's nutrition and not tired from long truck rides. I love my local produce! Living in California is a bonus of tons of seasonal goodies and I just love the energy that goes into bringing it from God's land to my lips via our local farmers!!! Thank you for your precious time and hard work dear farmers! ~Flissa Mannella Redondo Beach, CA

We can't sustain our habit of hauling things from halfway across the world. Besides, fresh food tastes better, especially since you can get things that aren't the tough for ability to ship variety.

I grew up on a farm believing the closer we eat and shop to the source, the healthier and happier our communities and our families.

I love my local producers, because I know I can count on fresher food with higher nutrient contents when I buy local. Food that has to be shipped long distances loses its freshness during the time of travel. Also, buying local means less fossil fuels burned in transportation. Buying local is a win-win!

When we work with the farmers and retailers on a local level, less energy is expended to provide sustinence and sundries to us, the consumers. In turn, local commercial businesses incur less expenditures on day to day operations and overheads invariably passing the savings on to the consumer and themselves.

I love local because it makes my world smaller! Knowing the friendly faces who grew or made my food makes me enjoy it more and feel more blessed to partake of it. :-)

Buying local keeps local farmers in business. The food is fresher and fresher is healthier. Small scale farmers give more love to the food. So...wealthier, fresher, healthier and lovelier!!

Love buying local. It boosts the local economy and neighboring producers. Reduces shipping costs (and fossil fuels usage) and travel time for fresher products. Wonderful to help out small farms.

You can tell when it's local - by the burst of flavor! Taste is a great reason but it's also being part of a community - and supporting the local farmers who in turn support us with food, income, jobs, etc. It's a circle of giving. Love it local.

local saves money, an cuts down on polution. If we buy local it helps cut down on fuel that is used to run the big trucks that ships food. Less fuel, less polution. We owe our support to our locals. They are our neighbors and friends, a vital part of our what makes our community happy and healthy.

I know personally i just feel better with fresher foods. I know that the people who made these foods took the time and care rather than just use harsh chemicals and techniques that just arent the best though dont get me wrong i appreciate the work nonorganic farmers do but its nice that organic and local farmers make it to where we have an option :)

Local makes sense on so many levels. Buying foods close to home keeps transportation costs down, and gives us fresher food. It helps to keep people who know what "real food" is in business and it keeps business in our area. I always try to support farmers/businesses who are working to make less of an imprint on our environment as well.

Buying local is delicious! Produce is fresh and fabulous and hasn't been hauled for days in a truck! And so it's way more nutritious! And you can feel good supporting the local economy and helping ethically sustained farms stay in business!!
