I'm Hispanic and grew up in Los Angeles, so even though I don't have Mexican roots, I love Mexican EVERYTHING! And on Cinco de Mayo, I plan on playing Ranchera (Mariachi music) and Cumbia, accompanied by tequila shots and a variation of Margaritas. I can't wait! I won't play anything from Putamayo so that I can play it out after I win that 5 CD set! Aaayyyy aaayyy aaaaayyyy, arriba, arriba! ;)~

Big Apple Boogaloo is wonderful! In the promo text, it isn't mentioned that the CD also includes Cha-Cha----my favorite! In fact, I may bring this song to my Zumba instructor for her to incorporate it in to our routine! I will also bring it to my favorite Salsa DJ at Ryles for him to play it for everyone! For Cinco de Mayo, I'll be celebrating with my husband and children and friends here for a make yur own taco party and the best Sangrii this side of Spain and gourmet guacamole, compliments of our Mexican friend! Hopefully we'll have 5 Putamayo CD's to accompany the fun! (wink)
