See how Healthy Eating Chef Chad Sarno works his magic getting us to eat our greens without even realizing it in this simple fruit smoothie. The sweet flavor of frozen cherries and berries blended with non-dairy milk overpowers the greens giving this healthy breakfast smoothie a secret nutrient boost!

Smoothies are ar regular occurance in our families morning routine, but I never thought of sneaking in a few leafy greens. I also always add a whole food power supplement. Can't beat this!

I love smoothies. I use organic Coconut milk, heavy cream, some greens (kale, spinach, etc) with some fruit (half banana, or strawberries/blueberries, etc), and organic cinnamon. Sometimes I skip the greens and do a very fruity smoothie (but always high-fat). Thank-goodness Spring has arrived. Tess the season to make smoothies..........:)

Make sure you use a Vita Mix type blender, most won't liquify the greens well enough, especially for kids.

I too become obsessed with green smoothies. A great book to get educated in greens as well as recipes is The Green Smoothie Revolution by Victoria Boutenko.

Love smoothies! Other additions include Brewer's Yeast, Soy Lecithin, Hemp seed hearts, pro-biotic yogurt, parsley. Sometimes I add a few walnuts. All are great!

Smoothies are a great way to get people to eat more vegetables. As you point out the fruit masks the taste of the vegetables and I have found that people who usually dont like eating fruit are far more likely to drink a smoothie than they are to pick up an apple or banana and eat it.
