My dad will tell you that “Real men don’t eat dessert” but put a slice of Red Velvet Cake in front of him and he turns into a boy. My dad lives 1200 miles from me, but I made his day 10 years ago when I bought the house next door to him. Now, my husband & I spend our winters in Florida with my dad. I have learned over the years there is one thing my dad looks forward to more than anything when I come to visit-- Whole Foods Red Velvet Cake. Red Velvet is his favorite cake, and while it is hard to find during the year, I can usually have it specially made for his birthday in March. I am going to surprise him this year for Fathers Day and fly down to see him. I‘m going to ring his doorbell with ,that very special Red Velvet Cake in hand. I know my dad appreciates the extra special things I do for him, especially this cake. I don’t mind spending extra time or money to get this cake for him because Whole Foods makes the cake with superior ingredients. Only the best for my dad!

I want my dad to learn how to cook basics. I'd find some easy, but NOT high-waste things that could be made into simple recipes for him. He should've learned cooking decades ago, but now I hate the idea of him eating so much processed food!

Our son says "chocolate cake!" My husband loves the vegan chocolate cake from Whole Foods bakery. Plus, it would be a splurge to get some picnic items from the prepared foods area, and maybe pick up an Amy's frozen pizza for later in the day. Daddio is a fan of the Amy's Roasted Veggie pizza. Happy Father's Day!

My husband has been asking for a big breakfast for almost a year now, and also a long afternoon nap.

Some of my hubby's favorite items from Whole Foods are the artisan cheeses in the cheese section, along with those "everything" crackers, a bottle of wine or ale, pistachio nuts, and La Farm bread. I'm planning on shopping there to fix him an extra-special dinner for Father's Day :)

Pat Davis says …

There are too many things at Whole Foods that would make my husband happy on Father's Day to list in this small space, but I'll list just a few of his ultimate favorites: Sam Adams, Yeungling, Woodchuck Cider, Bon Terra Merlot-Pinot Noir, Snoqualmie Riesling, 365 Penasol Sangria, Newman-O's cookies, anything on the Comfort Food Bar, Chili with cornbread, Sweet Onion hamburgers, Santa Fe Chicken Kabobs, two bite brownies, meringue cookies and last but not least...................................................................................................365 Organic Beef Jerky!!! Happy Father's Day Everyone!

A Whole Foods gift card would allow us to make a delicious meal for the best father in the world!

Dana says …

I think I'd give my dad the $100 Whole Foods gift card I win.

My dad had to retire this past year and is at home on oxygen 24 hours a day. He has been helping pay for my wedding in August and I would love to pay him back by being able to introduce him to Whole Foods. The Dr has told him he needs to lose weight and eat healthier and what better place to give him a good start than taking a nice walk through the aisles finding much healthier alternatives to his usual diet.

I'd love to win this gift card for my son to create a special treat for his father. This father's day will be a very special one for both my son and his father. My son just had his 13th birthday on April 9 and on MAY 8, 2009 he got to meet his father for the first time. They instantly bonded!! We live on a very tight budget and I'd love for my son to be able to treat his father on their first Father's Day together.

The coldest six-pack of Heineken would be all that is required to make Dad's day special.

Lucia Thomas says …

Our kids love to celebrate Father's Day as it is a way to say thank you for all the ways their Dad serves them every day. He is teaching them how to sweep the kitchen every evening, wipe off the kitchen counters, keep their rooms organized, make exercise a daily part of their life, honor and respect their mom. Whole Foods hold many favorites for him -- fresh brick oven pizza, corn/onion salad, protein powder for after the work out. We would love to honor him with a barbeque dinner with all the fixings!

Tamara says …

Dad and I are both currently unemployed. Most of his favorite food and all most all of his favorite treats come from Whole Foods. It would be really fun to be able to send him a care package full of his favorite goodies!

Robert Marron says …

If I had that 100 dollar Whole Foods gift card, my father would be extremely happy. He has been wanting to try all those IPA's. If he had that gift card, he would then be able to pursue that by buying a lot of them. That would make him happy. Please let me win that gift card, for you will be doing a good deed.

sky says …

Hoping to enjoy the day and give him something special. Don't know exactly what it is yet but I know whatever it is, it will be memorable.

Shea says …

My husband will be celebrating his first father's day this year and absolutely LOVES Virgil's root beer! Every time we are at Whole Foods, several bottles "sneak" their way into our basket!

michael lyons says …

Having fresh bread, my choice of soups, and your miso dressing would just about make my day!

Brice Walk says …

My husband loves good bbq'd ribs. Good food, good company and good music. That's what would make his day!

Theresa says …

Father's Day this year for us is extra special - We just had our first child! Even though it's a wonderful thing it's also very hard. I am currently staying at home so the income has been cut and we aren't able to spare any for a father's day gift. This gift card to him would be the greatest thing to happen. Thanks and Happy Father's Day to all!

Jennifer Hord says …

My dad has been on a diet for the past year, so i'd love for him to pick out (or pig out on) all of the foods he loves and we'll have a great BBQ on the day with all of his favorites that he deserves to treat himself with.

Jennifer White says …

My husband hates to shop. He doesn't like crowds, browsing the aisles, he just wants in and out. Unless he's at Whole Foods. He'll spend all day there. And he'll find things in the aisles and get really creative (sometimes too much so) when cooking dinner that night. He can't do that right now, but it is is great when he can. We're both out of work. He was laid off a month ago, myself in March. That gift card would really help us out, because we are out of options right now. And it would be a great morale booster for us, letting us do something we've been taking for granted the last few years.

Jenn S says …

Grilling Dad a nice juicy free range steak along side a fresh organic garden salad from Whole Foods would be a perfect Father's Day!

Edgardo Murua says …

My dad could sure try your delicious buffalo steaks!! yummerz!! and so could I ;) *drool*

Jason Cureton says …

I may be a new dad by then! So, my son will be the best Dad's day gift ever.

Annette says …

A picnic with the yummy Whole Foods salads and deli items would make my husband's Father's Day special!

Robin M says …

Nuts is the answer for my dad! He can't get enough of delicious, flavored and plain nuts. For my husband, he is a chocolate fiend.

Tracy says …

A flavorful, moist, soybean and egg free cake decorated in the shape of a golf course would be an "over the top" product for my husband for Father's Day.

Nette says …

My dad loves cashews! I plan to purchase him a bunch at Whole Foods and the put them in a pretty (yet manly) tin.

Gabriela says …

My dad should be a mouse with all the WF cheese he eats. And not to mention the wine crackers you guys carry. OMG, they are so good but he eats them all in minutes! With that gift card, I'd buy him a month's supply of cheese and wine crackers. Of course, he'd eat that in a day.

ROBERT ROGERS says …

BURT'S BEES SHAVING ITEMS, A FAT PRIME BONE IN RIBEYE, NATURAL WOOD CHIPS, AND SOME SCALLOPS. THAT WOULD MAKE MY FATHER'S DAY HOT!!

Mariah says …

The wide variety of whole foods beers would definitely make my pop hop. My pop always enjoys trying various beers and he and I both know Whole Foods is the place to provide some of the most unique Ales. So right after I make my dad a healthy (yet manly) lunch made of whole foods products, he’ll be able to finish it off with an ice cold beer!

Amy Youngclaus says …

A Fantastic Father's Day Feast From Whole Foods! Yippy Skippy! On our shopping list would include 360 whole coffee beans and some Organic Valley Eggs for breakfast. A lunch of fresh sushi (spicy salmon, please), edamame, with pizza for the kids. Followed up with some fresh salmon, quinoa, a fresh salad and a wonderfully yummy Key Lime Pie from your ever delightful bakery for dinner. Oh... we mustn't forget to pick up some fresh cheese! We may just do this on Father's Day, win or no win because it's super yum!

steph says …

A gift card would help us a lot because we only buy organic food for our 11 month old baby. My husband works really hard, and is the only income so I can stay home and raise our baby. A gift card would be a huge help!

Asia S. says …

I would love to surprise Dad with a super jump start breakfast! Fresh blueberry pankcakes, eggs, toast, turkey bacon, orange juice and his favorite assortment of fresh nuts and berries on the side.

Robyn Regan says …

Free cup of coffee for dad that will get us in the store.

Erin says …

All I need to make my Dad happy is some new grilling rub! He loves it when I get him that. Plus, if I showed up with some of yall's awesome meats that would help!

Kate Hansen says …

Definitely something manly and hearty that can go on the grill, topped off with a sweet treat from the delicious Whole Foods bakery!

meghan says …

My dad loves strawberries; if I see a good deal on them at Whole Foods, I'll call him to let him know! I'm not the best cook but if I made a berry salad to serve with dessert, my dad would love it!

Jessica Fairclough says …

My husband is a fantastic dad to our two girls, 7 years old and 7 months old. He also loves Whole Foods, just like the rest of us. We love to go as a family and eat in the cafe and then take our time shopping the store. We never thought grocery shopping could be such a fun "family experience". Winning this gift card would certainly make it easier to go to Whole Foods and shop for nutrious, local, organic food. We would certainly go together and then enjoy a fun family meal! Hopefully a BBQ, yummy dessert and for mom and dad...a bottle of organic wine! Thank you!!

Janet says …

This gift card would allow me to buy a nice organic steak for my dad. Beef is his favorite meat in the whole world. He (and my family) will finally know what a dry aged steak tastes like. He also loves your brownies (and most of your chocolate stuff from the bakery).

Kristy says …

My dad needs organic sunsreen preferably the Jason line as well as hemp milk and niman ranch beef. That would make his day so special!

Kathy Watson says …

The husband/dad at our house is also the everyday cook and can cook anything at fine restaurant quality. So on Father's Day, I would like to treat him to some of the Whole Foods best high quality beef from the meat department to work his magic on.....so that we all are treated on his special day!

Amy says …

This gift card would introduce my husband to all the wonderful organic products that Whole Foods has to offer. He is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, and doesn't believe that Whole Food has some excellent products that are healthier for him. If he could chose some items, regardless of price, he would become a true believer in wholesome, organic meats and, well, potatoes! Thanks for the opportunity to win a gift card. Happy Father's Day!

Mark Culpepper says …

Nothing would please my dad more than pork tenderloin, pork butt, and some fresh veggies to cook on his smoker. He likes nothing more than to sit around with family while the smoker is cooking. And then sitting around the table later in the evening to chow down on his famous smoked pork. That puts a smile on his face.

Mariya Yufest says …

My dad would LOVE to receive a box full of your dark chocolate covered pretzels for dessert (notice that I list this first, as that would be his fav!) For dinner he'd appreciate it if I made him a beautiful, fresh [medum-done] filet mignon, from your meat section with organic potatoes and scallops for appetizer. YUM! WE [pop and I] LOVE WHOLE FOODS!!!

Caroline says …

since the closest store is 77 miles away, and this is not a small area, it would be great to have you open one in the Huntsville, AL area. Announcing this would be a great Father's day present, then we don't have to drive to Birmingham or Franklin to shop.

Amy Chapman says …

The organic cheese and quality crakers would mke my husband so happy, and be a great way for the kids to show thier dad that they love him (and share his good taste!).

Victoria says …

Wild mushrooms, and some corn for the grill.

Chanda Sterling says …

To make a really good Father's Day. Whole Food can give complimentary facials to the fathers with Ann Webb products or another line.

Ute says …

My husband (the father of my two sons) starts drooling the moment he enters Whole Foods in anticipation of arriving at the cheese counter. He is well known by the chese counter staff, who greet him by name and tell him all about the new cheeses that have arrived. It's difficult to tear him away. A cheese sampling for all the dads would be a great way to treat fathers on Father's Day.
