Very good information from a trusted source! I see some products that I have NOT used that I want to try now.

Thanks for the information on natural products. I have 2 daughters with exzema and prefer to use more natural products.

KUDOS to Whole Foods for going beyond looking at the term "natural." Arsnic is "natural" but I don't want to be rubbing it into my baby's skin. Keep up the great work, but don't hesitate to raise the bar a lot more...we can do with less selection if we're dealing with the highest quality.

Thanks for this information. It is very helpful!

Thanks whole foods!

So glad that Whole Foods is addressing the problem with everyone tossing around "natural", and giving us brands we can trust! My daughter has allergies and eczema and it is so hard to find appropriate products for her to use.

I didn’t’ really start thinking green until I had my first child. I love that their are huge resources like this available.

I have a child with sensitive skin also. I went to Whole Foods and got some calendula lotion when he was 5 months old. He is 18 months now and we are still using it. Now he only has eczema on his hands and feet, none on his trunk :) I'm visiting from JollyMom.com but I blog at MomMostTraveled.com

This is good information and products. As I am allergic to so many things, I'll have to be careful what I use on my baby, so these products will be very helpful! Thanks!

This is all new to me and I am quickly adjusting. I was introduced to more "natural" products by several family member and friends. I think this new natural direction we are taking has already made us feel better in many ways. I was never much of a label reader myself but now I read EVERYTHING. I'm glad I was introduced to Whole Foods and now Whole Baby. Thank YOU!

My entire awareness has been raised exponentailly since having my first child to having my fourth child. I am so much more in tune with natural and organic products, and am SOOOOOOO happy that Whole Foods is on board too. Now I can shop at Whole Foods for everything!

I always forget that your skin is an organ. It really needs to be taken care of as well as you would your heart or your brain. It bothers me that people are throwing around the natural word. Not everything labeled natural is safe. I wish there was a way to keep that term for actually safe and natural products. Thank you for all your work on making sure everything is safe/natural in your stores. I just wish there were a whole foods closer than the hour and a half it would take to get there.

I love that whole foods is continuing to be part of our communities growth with these podcasts! http://mandyray.blogspot.com

Jane wants to interject here that she also makes baby products, not mentioned for some reason :(, and that they are sold in Whole Foods. One is a rubber duck embedded in a gently baby soap and one is a full size baby bar. Both soaps have only olive oil and a touch of both shea butter and beeswax...nothing more (no fragrances, artificial colorings, etc.)! I see a lot of people mentioning eczema and skin troubles (heartaches when they are babies!), and I don't use anything else on my babies. The popular "tear free" formulas are full of chemicals and fragrances. The problem is that when there are SO many ingredients and your baby/child has a reaction, it's nearly impossible to tell what the irritant was. With fewer ingredients, it's much easier to identify and avoid it. Just my two cents!

thankyou for the cast..I do agree the word natural and organic are used to freely but know whole foods has our backs.

I appreciate the insights shared. It is so over whelming trying to find the most effective and safest products, especially for our little ones. I'm glad to know that I have a "trusted source" to go to. Thanks so much!

AS a mom with a baby with sensitive skin, I am so thankful for products out there like these. The Whole Baby line is great. Thank you for the great products and spreading the word.

I only buy my babies bath products at Whole Foods.

Micky Jones says …

I tell mamas and papas all the time about using less on their baby - but if they are going to use anything it should be as natural as possible. There are so many great products - and those with the least ingredients are usually the best! Thanks for helping parents think about what they are using.

Jamaise says …

Thank you so much for addressing that "natural", doesn't always mean healthy in today's terms. That is why I stick to one brand that I trust- that I could actually eat their skincare products. That is what I want and expect from anything that touches my family's skin - I want to recognize each ingredient as being healthy. Imformative - thanks.

Sally Baldwin says …

I love natural, organic products. I never realized you carried baby products like this. This is great, as I won't have to go to a different store to buy them from now on. Thanks!

Gina Stratos says …

You can tell there is a parent behind this line. Great stuff!

Great podcast! I always listen in on every podcast, especially when it pertains to children. Thanks Whole Foods for helping us parents sort through all those brands of baby products so that we can have an easier time picking the BEST products for our children. Keep up the good work!

I am very impressed that Whole Foods cares so much about its customers and their babies. Thank you for carrying this entire line of baby products, it reminds us that you care!

Nanc says …

I enjoyed the podcast and am happy to learn about this line of baby care products for my little girl (2 mo). I am excited about hearing more of your podcasts, but wonder also if you could go into more detail about the testing you do and how you come about creating your product.

Claire Horner-Devine says …

Very interesting podcast - it was well presented for the ganeral public, but I felt it was based in real information...and I liked the discussion of "natural".

Claire Horner-Devine says …

I think about this a lot as I have sensitive skin, and we are innundated by products we "need" all the time! Less is better and natural is good when you need to use something. This is a great service!

Sarah @ MomBalance says …

I had no idea that the term "natural" was thrown around so much! I'll be sure to read labels more closely, and it's really nice to know I can look at Whole Foods to find safer products!

I love Whole Foods but I didn't even consider going there for baby products! We're going to be moving near to a Whole Food in time for our baby to be born and I am so glad that I know this now!

Stacy says …

I love knowing that the products sold are safe, just one less worry today is great.

This is great information! I purchased hand soap at Whole Foods, and absolutely loved it! I felt that it was better for my skin, and I had no problems letting my toddler use it. I am trying to be more conscientious about what my I put on my son, so it was great listening to this.

deliarose says …

I too have found that labels become more important now that I have children. Despite being in a budget crunch at this time in our lives, I know that keeping the body care as pure and natural as possible is vital for my daughters. I appreciate the reinforcement.
