great podcast! i need both the fine limp + curly information. my hair was fine, but since chemo it has a "chemo curl" that gets very tangley in the back underneath (dreadlocky), but i don't want to cut it because i've never had a curl in my hair before + i think the new hair growing in is straight

I've had similar problems with henna, as well as standard hair coloring. I truly hope the approaches you suggest bring some relief from the frizzzzzzy hair days.

Wonderful! Thanks again for your coverage, I didn't know John M had his own Salon.

Thank you for covering this. Can you help us in the Bay Area find a place to have your hair colored naturally? My hairstylist just quit the business because she developed an auto-immune disease from working with toxic hair color for years. I've been doing some research and here that henna destroys your hair after long term use (makes it dry and frizzy). Help!

Good for you Whole Foods! I think many of us who shop at your stores for food know the value in organics, but often don't think about the impact what we put on our bodies can have on our health.

I have a dear friend who runs a Salon and has been able to sucessfully switch product lines for coloration. She had become quite ill from chemical treaments and a doctor told her salon was nearly as toxic as working in a dry-cleaners. Her clients are happy and she is healthy!

My hair actually seems more curly now that I have stopped coloring it and have started using an activator. I'll give this color a shot, and see if I can have the best of both worlds, color and curl!
