While I don't like to listen to music while I go to sleep, my little girl does. She actually prefers music like this cd exactly! We once bought her something a little more kid-centric and she has gone back to her relaxation music every time!

Putumayo is the best among the most wonderful music projects ever! And this very album devoted to kids and their parents will be another diamond in their outstanding collection.

After purchasing Putumayo for me staring years ago, I started purchasing the kids CD's once my son was born, however I have to say I enjoy them a lot as well !! it's also a great way to get familiar with new voices such as it happened with A. Kidjo/Naima in Dreamland CD. At the end is music for everyone in the family!

I love to fall asleep listening to relaxing music. Sometimes I find a new radio station or play familiar tunes that help my mind melt into dreamland. For me and my 7 month old, we love to fall asleep to Johnny Cash, Fleetwood Mac, Gypsy Kings and the like. We look forward to drifting blissfully into Acoustic Dreamland. Amy and Adeline

My husband and I have slowly been purchasing all of the children's Putumayo music for our girls. We want our girls to have a worldly perspective and appreciate other cultures. What better way to do this, than with fun music. I love the "Dreamland" CDs because we play music for our girls to sleep to.

I love listening to Elizabeth Mitchell (especially 3 little birds) and Keb Mo to fall asleep. I also love listening to my baby's sleep sheep to help me fall asleep. I would love to win this collection!

Everyone in our house loves Putumayo's music collections. We own lots of the Playground and Dreamland CDs. The music inspires both my children and I to be creative and explore other cultures. With that idea in mind, here is a Japanese style haiku in honor of Putumayo music. Day fades to night as Putumayo lullabies Rock children to sleep

My two boys go to sleep listening to music every night. It acts as white noise, as a soother, and an entertainer if they don't fall asleep right away. We have a few cds already -- Celtic Dreamland and one that is just titled Dreamland. They would love more music to listen to -- it helps to have some variety! Love the musical experience and cultural awareness it offers them (among other things)...

We have played a rhythmic noise and soothing sounds for our 6 month old since before he was born. He goes to sleep with no trouble and his daddy and I do too! Music is a wonderful way to literally soothe one's soul. I have played it in past special education classrooms for years and it always makes a beautiful difference. Putamayo is a fantastic series we always run to our library for :)

I like going to sleep to soft inspirational music. It helps me to review my day, count my blessings, and remain thankful for what I DO have rather than complain about what I don't!

Stress is something I've always had issues with, (as I'm sure most do) especially when its time to sleep. Something inside me just can't 'turn off'. My thoughts just race around, things to do.... things to come..... ideas.... fears...... you name it its running through my head. I tried sleep aids and aroma therapy, heck, I even tried actual therapy. I made my room into a cold (67) dark cave, and even removed all electronics. And still, nothing helped. Then, heard that listening to calming music 45- 60 before bedtime helped with restful sleep. About 2 years ago my mom had even started playing 'sleep' music while she slept and I was curious how it worked. So I completed my regular routine, shower, diming lights and winding down, but this time I added the soothing music. At first I didn't think anything if it, and even had my doubts. As I got into bed I realized I was actually a lot calmer and felt very relaxed. I don't want you to think that I just automatically passed out. I didn't. But I was asleep within an hour, with less stress and fewer thoughts, and for me that was a major improvement. I've been doing this now for about 6 months, and it has made a major change in my life. It does take time, and it does take practice, but I truly am a believer. Music makes a huge difference in our lives. It can perk us up, explain our emotions, get us through a tough time, happy time, and even calm the noise of a busy and hectic world. Different things work for different people, all I can say is, try it, you'll never know until you do.

Every morning my son wakes up asking, "Mus? Mus?" (not so obviously meaning music) and dashes to the cd player. If I don't turn music on immediately, we're in for a rough day. This set sounds fabulous.
