You’ve heard about people spending the summer in the Hamptons. Well, what about a Whole Foods Market®?

For years, shoppers from Long Island and New York City who spend their summers at the beach, as well as year-round residents of the Hamptons have asked Whole Foods Market to consider a new location on Eastern Long Island, more than an hour and a half from our current eastern-most store on Long Island in Lake Grove, NY. So this summer we decided to hit the beach too – and we’ll be there until Labor Day – with the first ever Whole Foods Market FARM stand opens in a new tab.

This pop-up market is housed in a former car dealership built in the 1950s, the open-air environment features floor to ceiling roll-up garage doors and celebrates the seasonal temperatures, sunny skies, fresh produce and local offerings of the South Fork of Long Island. The Northeast region’s Local Forager, Elly Truesdell (follow her @ellytruesdell opens in a new tab), has built relationships and culled the very best local offerings from the area including favorites from: Tate’s Bake Shop, Hampton’s Honey Company, Satur Farms, Anke's Fit Bakery, Azure Chocolates, Eli's, Ellie's Country Delights, FatAss Fudge, Joe & Liza's Premium Ice Cream, Open Minded Organics, Plain-T, Posh Pies and Spy Coast Bee Farm. In addition, the FARM stand features a variety of great Whole Foods Market items from our store’s specialty, meat, seafood, bakery, floral and grocery departments. During each weekend, our seafood team offers cut-to-order local seafood fresh off the boats from nearby Montauk, NY.

Even the Northeast Region’s food truck is getting in on the action and will make appearances in the Hamptons this summer, offering an array of tacos for lunch and dinner.

If you’re heading “out east” stop by the FARM stand and grab some morning coffee, pick up snacks for the beach or stock up the beach house pantry. But hurry, because all vacations must come to an end, the Farm stand’s official last day is on Labor Day.
