We’ve recently told you about some of the really creative fundraising events happening in our stores that support Whole Planet Foundation’s® Prosperity Campaign. Here’s another one to share with you.
Patrick Bradley, the Regional President of our Southern Pacific region (that’s our Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii stores), is also an award-winning professional jazz keyboardist.
You’ll find Patrick’s latest CD "Under The Sun" at Whole Foods Market stores, and he’s generously donating $2.00 from the sale of each CD to Whole Planet Foundation. “Under The Sun” is contemporary jazz fusion that combines elements of smooth jazz, rhythm and blues, urban, funk and upbeat grooves and progressive rock. It hit #6 on the Smooth Indie Charts and has remained on the charts for over 48 weeks.
Produced by Jeff Lorber, it features special musical guests Dave Koz, Rick Braun, Eric Marienthal, Dwight Sills, Dave Weckl and Michael Thompson.
“The idea behind this record is to enjoy and celebrate life during the brief time we have under the sun pursuing dreams, hopes and aspirations. These songs were written in times of joy, sorrow and triumph, yet all with an eye on eternity.
Life is speeding by and my hope is that people take time to prioritize and tend to the important things instead of wasting time frivolously chasing the mad pursuits of this world,” said Patrick. Find out more about him and his music, and even take a listen, on his website or follow him on Facebook.
So, the next time you’re in the store, pick up his CD (you might want to hurry, supplies are limited). You’ll be supporting a talented artist, who just so happens to be a beloved part of the Whole Foods Market family, and you’ll be supporting Whole Planet Foundation and the microcredit clients who are lifting themselves and their families out of poverty.
