Love, Love, love Putumayo! Lifts the soul and takes you to another place. My children have grown up with world music through Putumayo. It is one of the greatest gifts you can give them, exposure to other cultures, languages, and music. You don't have to understand the lyrics to feel the story of the music. We dance, spin, and live through the music! When you can't go outside because it I too cold wet and dreary Putumayo is transporting and a simple pleasure, a delight, it connects us and energizes us. Thank you! We love to listen at whole foods too makes a trip to the grocery store a sensual trip, good food, good music, and great people.

Being a Montessori Teacher, culture is an integral part of our curriculum. By introducing children to the traditions, customs, culture and music of a country they become immediately absorbed into the sounds and free spirited movement - moving their bodies to the beat and sound of the music becoming fully engrossed.

I love Putumayo CD's. They are so much fun to listen to, better than your boring old music you here on the radio.

Brazil was the first vacation that my husband (then boyfriend) took together, back in 2001. Now when we play Latin music and dance around the house we break into smiles with memories of that trip, and our 4 year old daughter always joins in the fun!

I warm up my winters with Latin dancing. I've taken both Salsa and Bachata classes and turn on music to practice, as well as to workout. Salsa dancing will definitely cause you to break a sweat. It's great fun and exercise...but of course the music is what really makes it!

On yucky, cold days when we're all cooped up inside, music is the best way to liven us up. My daughter loves when we put on something with a hoppy beat and dance together. Twirling, bouncing and laughing will make any dreary day fun.

Music isn't just for Winter although it stirs the blood and moves my feet. I listen to music all the time. And working in a Library, I have access to a wide and deep selection of tunes, so I find new music I don't know as well as old favorites.

I think Shakespeare summed it up best: "If music be the food of love, play on." I can't wait to crank this on the stereo and cook up a feast!

I love the Brazilian music, not only does it get me moving which sometimes is no easy feat! It boost my mood, making me smile and dream.. It'sproven to be a great mood lifter getting me thru a long and often dreary winter.I love the energy.. However it is equally as wonderful back ground music for a summer party, It sets a great tone. I have a couple Putumayo cd's and they are wonderful. I have never been unhappy with my choices.

How vividly I remember my second trip to Brazil, the one which brought my sister and I together from east and west coasts, and joined by my mother. That trip was filled with music...the music of Milton Nascimento and street guitarists, children raising voices in song. PUTAMAYO exemplifies the rhythms of that journey, the SOUL experience of that multi-color cultura. The CD set would warm up any home in winter, liven any spirit!I would LOVE for Putamayo music to grace my modest space and come along to gatherings for both children and adults. I am so grateful for a business that lives from a passionate spirit and brings the world together through the life force of sound and the power of rhythms.
