I love Putumayo music. Everytime I purchase a Putumayo CD, I am able to experience another culture, language and flavor from another country in my own home. I am able to escape into a French Cafe..or an Italian Lounge. I love tango, merengue, salsa, and flamenco music. I love music!

I can't say that I am very familiar with the Latin music genre, which is why this contest caught my eye. :)

My husband and I love to play this kind of music inside and outside of our home because it makes us feel like we are on vacation in some exotic place, and just makes you feel good. When we entertain, we play it and our friends and families love it too. It helps to create a great party atmosphere!

Anything that can raise the mood. Living in a depressed sort of area it is hard to keep a positive mood, but I know the right kind of music can do it. And I have no doubt my fiance would grab me a up and dance around the kitchen with me like fools. :-D

Salsa! All the way. Takes me back to when I was a young boy living in New York and hearing salsa music playing on almost every corner. I missed that but the memories will always be with me.

As a Latina, these rhythms have never gone out of style for me. They're ALL so much fun to dance. Please enter me for a chance to the Putumayo CD. Thanks.

Honestly? Pretty much any type of Latin Music except ranchera or cumbia. Other than that, I enjoy everything else I've heard. I'll admit...both ranchera and cumbia are easy to sing along to though.

Being Puerto Rican I grew up with Salsa but love all forms of Latin music. I remember my parents teaching me to dance as a small girl and the magic of my Abuelo (Grandfather) playing his guitar and singing all the old songs from his childhood in Puerto Rico. Thanks for making me reminisce even if I don't win :). I would love to win this for my two babies though (2yrs and 5 months).

I love the Samba only slightly more than the Rumba. (I used to teach dance at Arthur Murray) The samba is so full of spirit and joy - it's an entire party in a few simple moves. And the rumba is the ultimate dance of love. :)

I love Putumayo World Music and have a lot of the French, Paris, and Israeli music. Over the my daughter went to Spanish immersion camp, spent time in Mexico, Panama, and last year in Argentina - she is a Jr in college and has a passion for Latin America and learned Latin dances. This would be a wonderful surprise fo her this summer since she will be 'stuck home' having to have surgery foot and so no dancing for 2 months.
