My sister and her husband are coming here to visit. Between our family and those two eating them, maybe I could get my sister and I together to bake a pie.

What to do with so many cherries? Have a Cheery Cherry Party of course! Delight the guests with only cherry refreshments. Have everyone dress in red. Serve champagne with cherries in the flute. Play pin the tail on the cherry... way difficult especially after the champagne! ~smile~

Chewy Chocolate Cherry Brownie Bites This recipe works for raspberries, too, when they're in season. 1/2 cup organic unsalted butter, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 1 cup turbinado raw sugar, 3 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla extract, 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour OR gluten free favorite w/ adjustments as needed,1/2 tsp. non-alum baking powder, dash pink sherpa salt, pint of cherries, halved (pits removed) In a large glass bowl cream butter, add cocoa powder, sugar and eggs. Blend in vanilla, flour, powder/salt. Gently mix in the fruit. Spoon batter into square 9 inch brownie pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 17-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes clean. Serve with vanilla ice cream or gelato for the young folks; a cup of coffee for we older ones!:)
