I've been wanting to make cherry preserves for a while, but haven't tried yet. So that's what I would do with some of them, then make a cherry pie, and of course keep some fresh ones back for snacks. :)

First, I would eat the first 100, and have a pit spitting contest with my ten year old twin boys. Then, chop and juice some and add stevia, lemon juice, to taste and put then in freezer pop molds, freeze for a day and be ready for a nice hot day.

I live in New Orleans and it would be wonderful to turn it into an event that the city can get involved in. The residents of this incredible town love a good party just as much as they love to eat. Sadly, Louisiana is consistently ranked as one of the most unhealthy states in the nation. A big part of that problem stems from the fact that people here are uneducated about nutrition. Many New Orleanians believe that healthy food is unappetizing (largely due to lack of exposure). I would love to have a party to teach residents that healthy foods can be delicious and make you feel good physically. It would be fun to do it as a benefit for Children's Hospital where the kids get to cook cherry dishes to serve at the hospital. I think the art community here would be enthusiastic about supporting an event like this, so I would look for support from local businesses, artists, musicians etc. It would be awesome to put on a really fun event that would benefit the community that I love!

I have a 14 month old son who only recently took an interest in solid foods. He is very picky, but he adores cherries just like his mommy does. We just had some allergy testing done this week and found out he has a ton of food allergies. I am still nursing him, so I need to follow a restricted diet, too. Our household now has to cut out wheat, eggs, soybeans, sesame seeds, peanuts, cashews, brazil nuts, almonds, shellfish, and seafood. If we won a case of cherries, we would really be grateful. It's a food that everyone in our house loves and can eat with no problems. We would just wash them and eat them, puree them and add them to yogurt, and make smoothies with them. We hope we win this sweet treat!

Upon receiving, the grandkids would help us eat them straight from the box. Hopefully we would have some left. We would have to create a cherry pie or 2, some preserves, a sweet n sour chicken w/ cherry glaze. We would dry a pound to make our own granola snack mix.

I would make all sorts of Paleo deserts. I like to play with ingredients and would love a case of cherries to experiment with. I could also make a salad with some cherry mix and will use it as a sweet sauce for pork or fish.

I'd eat some myself and freeze some, but--most of all--I'd give them to my dad. I understand cherries are great for those with arthritis because they reduce joint inflammation, and they're for preventing Alzheimer's disease. They're good for helping to sleep because of the melatonin content and there are other benefits to the antioxidants/anthocyanins which are believed to aid in reducing heart disease and cancer. I'm sure there are more reasons to give them to my dad, but just the ones I mentioned are enough to make me confident enough to "push" them on my dad.
