Snowville Creamery

Snowville Creamery - Pomeroy, Ohio At Snowville Creamery in Pomeroy, Ohio, the cows graze in pasture all year long and the grasses that are in season affect the flavor of the milk.  Winter milk from Snowville may taste of hay; spring milk of dandelions.  Morning milk even tastes different from evening milk!   Warren Taylor, owner of Snowville, believes that milk is perfect when it comes from the cow, so he processes his milk as minimally as possible.  Snowville Creamery milk is bottled on the farm the same day the cows are milked and delivered to Whole Foods Market the very next day to bring customers the freshest product possible.  As they say at Snowville, they make "Milk the Way it Used to Be!"

Snowville is a great story. Their milk is excellent. The passion Warren and his staff exemplify along with the superior freshness and quality of the milk is what makes Snowville such a great company.

Kate and Anthony, your video blog turned out wonderfully! Thank you for capturing the essence of what Snowville Creamery is about: Milk the Way It Used to Be. The pictures you took of Warren, Bill and the cows truly paint the scene of what wholesome dairy is all about: promoting the health of our land, people & planet through sustainable practices. We are certainly satisfied and delighted with your efforts and results! Great job!

Finally... I always wondered what real milk tasted like, I always heard the old-timers talk about it, they even stopped drinking milk because they couldn't find the milk they grew up with. Along comes Snowville Creamery and now I understand what it means to be drinking "Milk the Way it Used to Be." Thank you Snowville Creamery! Keep up the amazing work!! -Kevin =i=

I was introduced to Snowville Creamery milk at Whole Foods in Alexandria, VA. I IMMEDIATELY bought a half gallon. The milk taste fresh and refreshing. It was the best milk I had ever tasted! I travel about 3 miles to Whole Foods to get this milk, when there are other stores in the area, but this is the only store that carries Snowville Creamery milk. It is truly worth it too!! I am not just saying this because I am originally from Ohio, but it is really the best tasting milk -- EVER!! Sincerely, ~rose~

Hi, I discovered your milk this morning at Whole Foods - Kentlands in Gaithersburg, MD. I am wondering when you stop milking your pregnant cows before they give birth - and why. Thanks!

After watching the film Documentaries Food Inc. and Food Matters, my eyes have been opened to a harsh reality. I have been making the switch to organic, natural and locally grown product for a few months now. I was at the Giant Eagle on new Albany Road to grab some milk and a lady was there advertising Snowville Creamery. After tasting your product I knew a purchase had to be made, not only on taste but what you guys stand for. It is a shame the negative direction food has taken in order to make a larger profit. I will now make sure to purchase milk from Snowville Creamery even if I have to go out of my way . I support local farmers 100% and respect the fact that you choose to raise and deliver your product the right way. Keep up the good work!

Question: Is Snowville Creamery 100% Grassfed dairy, are the cows ever exposed to modern day antibiotics, growth hormone or grain feed?

I bought this milk because it was not homogenized and not overly pasteurized. I had no idea what I was buying at the time. When I took my first sip, I cried. Literally. There's no taste like home like this milk. It brought back my childhood. I've been drinking organic milk for a long time, the ultra-pasteurized variety. Let me tell you, this milk is the REAL thing. Please keep it stocked. I'll continue to drive across the river from Kentucky to Cincinnati to get it. Thank you!!!

My friend works at this Creamery! I am going to drive 45 minutes to get this milk for my lil boy who will turn one in August. I have dreaded his first birthday, because it marks the start of table food, and god only knows whats in our food, so I garden and have vowed to do whatever necessary to give him hormone, pesticide and junk free food, especially milk and meat, and potatoes. Its a shame good food has to be so costly though, but thats not to say its not worth it, just makes it challenging for us single moms. Wish there was a whole foods closer to Waverly-my store is 1hour and 20minutes away.

I wonder about the composition of the "plastic" lining of the cardboard milk cartons hoping it doesn't contain BPA .. Also, the brown drawing on the cartons makes me think that it contains chocolate milk.........it seems like the drawing on the carton was a different color when I first discovered Snowville milk . I grew up on a grass-fed dairy farm in the 1950's.....................

Any information you could provide would be appreciated. Thanks. Your milk is excellent and since drinking it, I have noticed a change in my health for the better.
