Way Better Snacks

At Whole Foods Market®, we love sharing good food and drink. Whether it’s a peak-of-the-season berry, a team member creation from our bakery, sausages made in house or a new grocery discovery, we love celebrating great flavors and products. But we don’t just want to tell you about it; we want you to enjoy it too. So, we’re doing a series of summer giveaways through mid-August.

Perhaps it’s the seasonal wardrobe of swimsuits, shorts and sundresses or maybe it’s the active days filled with time at the pool and park but there’s just something about summer that makes me want to eat right. Minimal ingredients and minimally processed foods free of all that icky stuff – that’s what I want this summer. Even for my snacks. Whether it’s a meal or fueling up in-between, you too likely are looking for foods you can feel good about eating and sharing with others. That’s why we’re giving away a case of tortilla chips that taste good and that you can feel good about. Read on to find out how to enter to win.

For the past 2 years I have made some amazing life changes. At the age of 45, I lost a total of 40 pounds with a whole food diet and daily exercise. As an African-American I have many family and close friends who are over weight and suffering from obesity, hypertension and diabetes. A couple are gradually working towards a healthier lifestyle. I am always trying new healthy snacks and passing my finds on to them to encourage them to make healthier snake choices!

Yes to: staycation kids! We visit parks all over the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. We make an open invite to our classes from school and make new friends. We pack a dry snack bag and a cooler and then hit the road. Healthy on the go snacks are imperative and we are able to avoid fast food.

I do pediatric in home care with special needs kids. I have one family I work with that has 4 kids and evertime I go there they are frying some sort of very unhealthy food..so I've made it my goal to bring healthy snacks to share with the kids and parents.. to show them alternative foods.. foods grilled, baked and fresh.. not deepfried and coated in sugar or salt
