'Give Peace A Chance' by John Lennon says it all for me. According to Songfacts site: This was recorded May 31, 1969 at a "Bed-In" Lennon staged in room 1472 of Queen Elizabeth's Hotel in Montreal. John and Yoko stayed in bed for 8 days, beginning on May 26, in an effort to promote world peace. They got a great deal of media attention, which is exactly what they wanted to promote their cause. Some of the people in the hotel room who sang on this were Tommy Smothers, Timothy Leary, Allen Ginsberg, and Petula Clark.

My very first memory of recognizing that music could actually "mean something" was when I was maybe 4 or 5 years old and heard "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles while looking out my early morning bedroom window. That song takes me back and invigorates me 30+ years later.

Love it! So grateful to John Legend and The Roots for using their gifts, talents to share their hearts and message through the universal language of music. Children need us to step up and take care of them, they truly are our future. Thank you.

I so want this CD. Songs from the 60's and 70's were more meaningful than all the rump shaking songs of today. John's got a lot going on. A bright man. Very inspiring. I do so enjoy being consciously aware. Way to go guys. Wake us up!
