CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WINNER MARY FROM MADISON, WI. THANKS FOR ALL THE COMMENTS! We love our producers, suppliers and vendors and we think most of them have some pretty interesting stories behind their products too. We’ll be sharing some of our favorites here in an ongoing series. Read on for a chance to win a $50 gift card. Doug Beretta is a family man. He’s one of four generations in Beretta Family Organic Dairy, a supplier of organic milk for Wallaby Yogurt. The dairy is based on a ranch that was bought in 1948 by Beretta’s grandfather, where the pasture-raised cows graze today. According to Beretta, the advantages of pasture-raising their cows are many. “You’re able to utilize your own land for feed. Organic feed costs are starting to get very expensive so we’re able to use our land to produce as much of the feed as we can.” In addition to the nutritional value of feeding cows on the pasture, “being on grass instead of concrete is a lot easier on the feet and legs of cows,” says Beretta. Wallaby’s founders were looking for family farms and pasture-based dairies with this type of commitment to their cows and their milk, so partnering with Beretta Family Organics made perfect sense. What do you think about the changes that Beretta Family Organic Dairy made when they switched from conventional to organic processes? Watch the slideshow above and leave a comment with your answer by September 9th. One comment will be chosen at random to win a $50 gift card to our stores. Click here to check out Wallaby’s products or visit our stores to taste them for yourself. We carry their full line of organic yogurt as well as their outstanding sour cream!

Wallaby is the best tasting yogurt and reasonably priced even though organic is usually more expensive. I have been buying this yogurt ever since my son told me Claudia Suh was associated with it!! People buy for different reasons....and even though I think the world of Claudia, if I didn't like it, I wouldn't buy it. My favorite is the blueberry over cheerios in the morning.

As a family, we are making some major changes as one of us has been diagnosed gluten-intolerant. Yogurt has become a bigger part of our diet. I haven't had Wallaby before, but plan to seek it out ASAP since eating organically is always best and it sounds tasty! :)

I love Wallaby yogurt. I have issues with textures and this yogurt is smooth and creamy. And I love the fruit combinations. Thanks for making a great healthy product and working with farmers who care about their cows.

I think the change your company has made is incredible. It not only reduces the stress on the cows, it reduces diseases and increases the quality of the milk and products produced from these happy heffers :) People even understand the importance now of a balanced diet and cows pick and choose from those tasty greens they graze upon daily. 2 thumbs up for you! I would recommend a different name and logo as when I first saw it, I thought Australia and then I thought what is a kangaroo doing on the yogurt..?. hmmm Cow is much better I think but what do I know. Thanks for taking the time to read my 2 cents worth. Blessings our family to yours!

My family loves this yogurt! It is great to see small companies take pride in what they do and make the decision to produce a quality organic product. It must be expensive to make the changes, but my family won't settle for anything less than the goodness of Wallaby.

The changes are fantastic for me and the cows, couldn't be happier! The yogurt is awesome and I love the chocolate down under, however, the sour cream is the best on the planet and I refuse to eat any other sour cream ever.

Even though I am vegan, I love seeing more food companies change the way they treat their animals for the better. Organic is truly the only way to go. I think its wonderful and the cows (and people) will be much happier!

My whole family is "addicted" to Wallaby's yogurt! My daughter sometimes eat 2 in a day. My sons love to have the yogurt as a dessert after dinner. Although I buy dozen at a time, it doesn't last long!!!

My favorite yogurt! So scarce in the upper Midwest, a.k.a. America's Flyover Zone, but available occasionally. Store manager lets me know when it's available, and I drop everything to get to the store.
