What Would You Do with a Case of Peanut Butter?

cookie_pbcc Congrats to Charlie G, our randomly selected winner for the case of peanut butter giveaway! Here's a confession: My brother ate nothing but peanut butter (on bread) for an entire year. He was a little kid and my mom obviously wasn't taking control of his diet! He wanted peanut butter and she let him have it. Of course there are all kinds of things wrong with that and, luckily, he's outgrown the obsession. He still loves peanut butter and (in moderation) there's everything right about that! So, what would you do with a case of peanut butter? Read on for a chance to win one! It doesn't matter how you like it-smooth, crunchy, unsweetened or no salt added-we've got you covered with our 365 Everyday Value® Organic Peanut Butter at $3.49 for 18oz. And guess what? Our March/April issue of The Whole Deal has a $1.00 off coupon. Print the online coupon or pick up the value guide with coupons in our stores. Now that's a tasty deal. Do you think that peanut butter is kind of all the same? We don't. In our experience, the peanuts that go into that jar make a big, flavorful difference, and organic makes even more of a difference. That's why we require the best-tasting organic peanuts for the peanut butter that wears our name. The organic Spanish peanuts used in our 365 Everyday Value Organic Peanut Butter are grown by several family farmers in West Texas, like the Bingham Family. Organic-PeanutCliff Bingham is a 4th generation farmer. His wife, five sons, six daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter - along with the grandparents - are involved in the family farming business. Bingham Family Vineyards and Farm not only grows peanuts, they grow wine grapes for Texas wineries and organic row crops like cotton, wheat, rye, black-eyed peas, blue corn, sesame and garbanzo beans. When they aren't farming, the Bingham family is big into playing music - many of the kids play multiple instruments and perform with the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra. The family enjoys playing a variety of music including classical, country, gospel, fiddle and wedding songs! With all those active kids, I bet that family eats a lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. But aside from PB&J, there are many delicious, grown-up and fun, not-so-grown-up ways to eat peanut butter. Here are a few of our favorites: lettucewrapschilinoodlesApple Sandwiches with Granola and Peanut Butter Lettuce Wraps with Chile Peanut Noodles Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Cookies Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies Curry Coconut Peanut Sauce Peanutty Udon Noodle and Tofu Salad PB & J Pancakes So, how do you enjoy peanut butter? Let us know in the comments by March 12th (edit: extended to March 16th since you all LOVE peanut butter so much!) and you’ll be entered to win a case of 365 Everyday Value® Organic Peanut Butter! And, by the way, my brother is NOT eligible to win.

I use Peanut Butter to make ice cream, peanut butter cookies, and to dip carrots, celery, and apples, as well as the classic PB&J and Fluffernutter! Best of all, I give it to my husband when I need some peace and quiet -- a spoon and a jar of PB (one of his favorite foods) keeps him busy and it's hard for him to talk! Haha!

I'll take peanut butter on a spoon, midnight or noon; on some bread, with some fruit spread; as a cookie, in a pancake, or peanut butter cornflake bars that are no-bake; on some noodles or in a soup, peanut butter is the best darn goop!

Ah peanut butter! It is the food of the gods. I have peanut butter on wholewheat toast for breakfast almost every morning. When I eat pancakes or waffles, (wholewheat of course), I have to have spread peanut butter on them instead of butter, and real maple syrup. Peanut butter and honey sandwiches are great for when need a snack in the afternoon. When I'm at my desk at work, and need a quick pick-me-up, I eat a giant spoonful of peanut butter, and that tides me over till my next break. Peanut butter on celery is fabulous healthy snack too! What would I do with a case of peanut butter? Well, I would eat it course!

Wow!! A whole case of peanut butter?? Where to start?? With 6 kids, we'd be in Peanut Butter Heaven!! The obvious would be the sandwiches they'd take for lunch every day, then there are their dad's favorite peanut butter cookies, my favorite peanut butter bread recipe, and for my 4 year old we would of course be making peanut butter playdough (1 cup creamy peanut butter, 1/4 cup honey and 1 cup non fat dry milk).

Peanut Butter is in the same category of "magic food" as bacon and beer. There is never a wrong time to have peanut butter. PBJ's are a staple for my kids, and whatever they don't eat goes straight in my gullet (no calories for leftovers). Even awesomer is mixing two of the magic foods, a Peanut Butter and Bacon sammich. Good, crisp bacon is the key, on wheat toast. And you haven't lived until you've had a Peanut Butter Burger. Yes, with bacon is accepted and encouraged. As you can probably tell, I'm a little more of a gun-toting meat-eater than the usual Whole Foods crowd. That is part of the magic of Peanut Butter, it can bring people of all types together. If Congress sat down around of a table of PBJ and milk, we'd get this health care debate settled right quick.

I love a plain old PB&J any day. My son loves peanut butter and banana wraps in a whole wheat tortilla.

If I had a case of peanut butter I would give it to my local food pantry. With today's hard times and tough economy food pantry's are taking a harder hitfrom people needing help and are getting fewer donations. On second thought, after reading a few of the other responses, I'd give half of it to Sharon to take to Haiti and the other half to the food pantry or a homeless shelter.

Before working out at the gym others may eat a protein bar— I just lick a big ol' spoon of peanut butter from the jar! -[]————[]- Since my gym's across the street I go there every day So a case of peanut butter would meet my needs cuz my muscles would shout: "HOORAY!" .. \__/ -[]————[]-

I would get a case of our north feorgia apples and go around the corner to our elementary school and share peanut butter in apple hollow. Teach the kids about good nutrition

I would love to have a case of peanut butter! My husband and I are both vegans and we eat peanut butter every other day in a variety of ways. We love to make stir fry with peanut sauce, pb cookies and of coarse there isnt many things better then pb on toast. Thanks for the chance to win!

Deana says …

I would learn to like peanut butter if I had a whole case of it! And if I couldn't learn to like it, I would be making a whole lot of cookies for friends and family to enjoy!

NicoleS says …

Chocolate and peanut butter! My favorite decadent desserts make good use of both of these :-)

Jennifer A. says …

I love peanut butter! Lots of Peanut Butter Cookies are a given but one of my favorite snacks is banana roll ups (whole wheat tortilla, peanut butter and a ripe banana). They're great for packing in lunches or to throw in a back pack for a healthy snack on the run. But most importantly, the dogs... my four dogs get a lick of the good stuff each and every night when my 9-year old pug takes his medicine.

Mixture of peanut butter, raw oats, powdered milk and honey...all folded into a huge ball that is consumed with a glass of ice cold milk....optional additions....coconut, powdered sugar and corn syrup or agave in lieu of honey, dried fruit such as cranberries, chocolate chips...yeah, I know, lots of calories but sooo good. With a CASE of peanut butter, which would not last long at my house, I'd make this recipe, pb and apples, pb and marshmallow cream (fluffer nutter sandwiches), peanut butter mixed with soy sauce over whole wheat noodles with slices of green onions....etc.

Sheila says …

My kids are pretty obsessed with peanut butter as well. They eat other things..but they do LOVE natural peanut butter!! With allergies to dairy, wheat, and soy it is a staple in school lunches. They also love it on snacks! They eat it on almost everything, carrots apples, bananas, celery, rice cakes,in cookies, the famous PPJ sandwich(which my older son takes to school EVERY day)!

Laura says …

My two favorite ways to eat peanut butter are in vegan chocolate peanut butter pie and in spicy peanut sauce served over tofu, broccoli, and quinoa.

Beth says …

With a whole case of peanut butter I'd definitely make a batch or 5 of vegan peanut butter filled chocolate cookies! I have so many yummy recipes that use peanut butter, so I'd make mostly cookies to send to my friend stationed in Afghanistan. With a whole case I could make him enough to share with his whole unit!!

Maureen says …

Besides the usual peanut butter on toast for breakfast, with apples for a snack, and in cookies, I will trying some those recipes above! I especially have my eye on the Lettuce Wraps!

Judy says …

I love crunchy peanut butter on any type of pasta as the main ingredient in the sauce (along with shallots, onions, garlic, leeks, peppers, or any other kind of vegetable). I also use a similar sauce with creamy peanut butter tossed over any kind of vegetable (just toss in the final 5 minutes of cooking).

Mark says …

I love peanut butter. I try to buy almond butter and sesame butter instead because I dont love them as much. I would like to eat pb all the time and say the hell with the world.

Amanda says …

What wouldn't I do with a case of PB really? Bathe in it? No, no, but really I enjoy PB every single day by the spoon, in my oats, in my cottage cheese, with apples, with carrots...I'm not sure there is anything that it doesn't go with!

Azar ATTURA says …

Peanut butter right out of the jar (BIIG clean spoon, dip only once, then get ANOTHER BIIIG clean spoon) Peanut butter and chocolate (dark or white, does not matter! In fact a Lindt or a Nestle White Chocolate bar works just FINE!!!)- melt the chocolate, mix it with the PB -- Divine!! Peanut butter and marshmallow cream! Peanut butter, jelly, cream cheese and butter on a bagel!EVRYTHING kinda slides around after a while, but it is SO good! PB and Banana Sandwich!! Go ahead, add some jelly too!!! PB (chinky or smooth) on Spaghetti -- yum!!! Scuse me I am HUNGRY!!! Now where did I last leave that jar of Peanut butter!!

I enjoy 365 Everyday Value® Organic Creamy Peanut Butter on Granny Smith & Cameo apples several times a week...Yum! It's great before or after a workout. Have to keep my pantry fully stocked...it's so addictive!

Natalie Austin says …

I have to say that I am on the "Crunchy" payroll but my daughter is "Creamy" so when we buy PB we have to buy both. By the spoon, in sandwiches (especially PB, banana & honey sammy), cookies, or in asian sauces...it's good no matter what!

I am a native Californian, who is living in France as an Au Pair for two kids until next December. With a case of peanut butter (which by the way, is neearly impossible to find here), I would show the French all of the possibilities and goodness of peanut butter!

Summer McCreless says …

I love to eat peanut butter mixed with vanilla ice cream: let ice cream soften and then add peanut butter and freeze together. A healthier way of eating peanut butter is to add it to rice or quinoa pudding. Yummy!

i am on a budget(like lots of other people)and PB&J sandwiches for lunch are a good economical choice. plus i never get sick of them.

Lorien says …

My husband does not like to eat in restaurants, so when people want to get together with him he brings homemade peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to share with his friends. The sandwiches are made with Whole Foods 365 Organic Peanut butter. He makes a great sandwich, so I would keep him well-supplied to continue to make them if I had a case of peanut butter!

Kim says …

I love peanut butter with jelly on toast in the morning or on celery for a snack. My husband likes to eat it straight out of the jar! :) And my kids love peanut butter cookies.

I have an amazing curry recipe that combines peanut butter with coconut, cumin, ginger, garlic, and other spices. Blend it all together and coat a stir fry of cauliflower, onions, carrots, and potatoes. MMm, it's so good!

Betty Bingham says …

We love peanut butter just spread on just about anything, in smoothies, or put into recipes. I can't wait to look at all the recipes listed above. A case of peanutbutter wouldn't last too long at our house, but we would love one. But -- for some reason -- I don't think we are eligible to win either. We'll just have to go plant some more peanuts!

Maureen says …

We love peanut butter on apples and banannas, with chocolate, or just plain peanut butter sandwiches and, of course, straight out of the jar.

Haley says …

Here at our home we love to eat organic peanut butter and jam muffins. They are so yummy!!

Samira Hargraves says …

The best sandwich ever is natural wheat bread(made by catherine clark bakery-you guys sell it) with crunchy peanut butter on two pieces. Slice a banana, add honey and the banana and then slap the bread together-yum, yum! So good!

Caitlin Blau says …

My roommates and I enjoy peanut butter by the spoonful, usually. But I'd have to say in a recipe, peanut sauce HAS to be my favorite application. We would eat like queens with a case of peanut butter...lots of Thai food. Have a wonderful day!

Alex Dickman says …

Love adding it to savory sauces. It's a flavor shortcut for just about any sauce you can think of. Quick Mole Negra: Spices, onion, chile, chicken stock, Peanut butter, unsweetend chocolate. Quick Curry: Spice mix, peanut butter, coconut milk. Great with chickpeas and rice. Quick Thai-ish PB chicken: PB, garlic-chile paste, chicken stock. Toss with cooked chicken, great for leftovers. Also excellent with rice and green beans.

Kara says …

Wow... With a case of peanut butter where do I start? Of course we would use it on toast, our peanut butter and banana sandwiches, in oatmeal, peanut butter cookies, (moms favorite) pad thai with peanut sauce, use it with chocolate and dip pretzels, and even right out of the jar! Just call us the peanut butter family! We love it!! I'm sure we would even share a few jars with friends and family :)

Linda says …

I had no idea the 365 PB came from west Texas! Makes me want it even more! This morning I baked 6 dozen PB cookies to ship to a soldier in Afghanistan. I could bake so many more with a case of PB! And maybe bake some for my family!

If I won a case of peanut butter...my husband would eat it all, one spoonful at a time. He loves it almost as much as he loves dark chocolate (*almost*, I said)!

Janice says …

gluten free PB cookies with oatmeal and choco chips for the entire neighborhood!!

Crystal says …

I absoluely love peanut nut butter (and all other nut butters) and try to eat almost every day. Most of the time I simply pair peanut butter with an apple, banana, celery, or carrot. I like to mix it in my oatmeal, pancakes, and cookies.

Charlene Helms says …

What would I do with a case of peanut butter? Well there is a Backpack food program in an elementary school here. Food is sent home on Fridays in a backpack so that the children are eating. this elementary school was noticing that on Mondays alot of the children were eating 2-3 breakfasts. They had eaten very little if not at all the entire weekend. This school is populated by children living in the government housing projects here. There is a huge prescription drug problem here and many of these parents are selling their foodstamps for drugs. So, I would donate the entire case to this program because peanut butter is a nutritious food that kids love and its very hard to get donated.

I slather it all over my face including lips, let set for 1 hour (licking around lips should be avoided until the hour is up, then lick away!!) If using smooth, I just rinse off with warm water. If using chunky, I massage my face a bit before rinsing off with warm water. I do this once a week for amazing skin!
