What Would You Do with a Case of Peanut Butter?

By Paige Brady, March 5, 2010  |  Meet the Blogger  |  More Posts by Paige Brady
cookie_pbcc Congrats to Charlie G, our randomly selected winner for the case of peanut butter giveaway! Here's a confession: My brother ate nothing but peanut butter (on bread) for an entire year. He was a little kid and my mom obviously wasn't taking control of his diet! He wanted peanut butter and she let him have it. Of course there are all kinds of things wrong with that and, luckily, he's outgrown the obsession. He still loves peanut butter and (in moderation) there's everything right about that! So, what would you do with a case of peanut butter? Read on for a chance to win one! It doesn't matter how you like it-smooth, crunchy, unsweetened or no salt added-we've got you covered with our 365 Everyday Value® Organic Peanut Butter at $3.49 for 18oz. And guess what? Our March/April issue of The Whole Deal has a $1.00 off coupon. Print the online coupon or pick up the value guide with coupons in our stores. Now that's a tasty deal. Do you think that peanut butter is kind of all the same? We don't. In our experience, the peanuts that go into that jar make a big, flavorful difference, and organic makes even more of a difference. That's why we require the best-tasting organic peanuts for the peanut butter that wears our name. The organic Spanish peanuts used in our 365 Everyday Value Organic Peanut Butter are grown by several family farmers in West Texas, like the Bingham Family. Organic-PeanutCliff Bingham is a 4th generation farmer. His wife, five sons, six daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter - along with the grandparents - are involved in the family farming business. Bingham Family Vineyards and Farm not only grows peanuts, they grow wine grapes for Texas wineries and organic row crops like cotton, wheat, rye, black-eyed peas, blue corn, sesame and garbanzo beans. When they aren't farming, the Bingham family is big into playing music - many of the kids play multiple instruments and perform with the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra. The family enjoys playing a variety of music including classical, country, gospel, fiddle and wedding songs! With all those active kids, I bet that family eats a lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. But aside from PB&J, there are many delicious, grown-up and fun, not-so-grown-up ways to eat peanut butter. Here are a few of our favorites: lettucewrapschilinoodlesApple Sandwiches with Granola and Peanut Butter Lettuce Wraps with Chile Peanut Noodles Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Cookies Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies Curry Coconut Peanut Sauce Peanutty Udon Noodle and Tofu Salad PB & J Pancakes So, how do you enjoy peanut butter? Let us know in the comments by March 12th (edit: extended to March 16th since you all LOVE peanut butter so much!) and you’ll be entered to win a case of 365 Everyday Value® Organic Peanut Butter! And, by the way, my brother is NOT eligible to win.

I love crunchy peanut butter on any type of pasta as the main ingredient in the sauce (along with shallots, onions, garlic, leeks, peppers, or any other kind of vegetable). I also use a similar sauce with creamy peanut butter tossed over any kind of vegetable (just toss in the final 5 minutes of cooking).

What wouldn't I do with a case of PB really? Bathe in it? No, no, but really I enjoy PB every single day by the spoon, in my oats, in my cottage cheese, with apples, with carrots...I'm not sure there is anything that it doesn't go with!

I have to say that I am on the "Crunchy" payroll but my daughter is "Creamy" so when we buy PB we have to buy both. By the spoon, in sandwiches (especially PB, banana & honey sammy), cookies, or in asian sauces...it's good no matter what!

I love to eat peanut butter mixed with vanilla ice cream: let ice cream soften and then add peanut butter and freeze together. A healthier way of eating peanut butter is to add it to rice or quinoa pudding. Yummy!

My husband does not like to eat in restaurants, so when people want to get together with him he brings homemade peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to share with his friends. The sandwiches are made with Whole Foods 365 Organic Peanut butter. He makes a great sandwich, so I would keep him well-supplied to continue to make them if I had a case of peanut butter!

I have an amazing curry recipe that combines peanut butter with coconut, cumin, ginger, garlic, and other spices. Blend it all together and coat a stir fry of cauliflower, onions, carrots, and potatoes. MMm, it's so good!

We love peanut butter just spread on just about anything, in smoothies, or put into recipes. I can't wait to look at all the recipes listed above. A case of peanutbutter wouldn't last too long at our house, but we would love one. But -- for some reason -- I don't think we are eligible to win either. We'll just have to go plant some more peanuts!

My roommates and I enjoy peanut butter by the spoonful, usually. But I'd have to say in a recipe, peanut sauce HAS to be my favorite application. We would eat like queens with a case of peanut butter...lots of Thai food. Have a wonderful day!

Love adding it to savory sauces. It's a flavor shortcut for just about any sauce you can think of. Quick Mole Negra: Spices, onion, chile, chicken stock, Peanut butter, unsweetend chocolate. Quick Curry: Spice mix, peanut butter, coconut milk. Great with chickpeas and rice. Quick Thai-ish PB chicken: PB, garlic-chile paste, chicken stock. Toss with cooked chicken, great for leftovers. Also excellent with rice and green beans.

Wow... With a case of peanut butter where do I start? Of course we would use it on toast, our peanut butter and banana sandwiches, in oatmeal, peanut butter cookies, (moms favorite) pad thai with peanut sauce, use it with chocolate and dip pretzels, and even right out of the jar! Just call us the peanut butter family! We love it!! I'm sure we would even share a few jars with friends and family :)

I had no idea the 365 PB came from west Texas! Makes me want it even more! This morning I baked 6 dozen PB cookies to ship to a soldier in Afghanistan. I could bake so many more with a case of PB! And maybe bake some for my family!
