Our quick and easy snack/meal to bring in the cooler is hummus, rice crackers, carrot sticks, Narragansett Creamery cheese and water. Best part is it is gluten free for a family member with celiacs.

A Mediterranean Sandwich is the best, which means the same as a Mediterranean salad but in a fresh made bun with our fave dressing or any fave condiment, we can even cut it in quarters to keep any leftover in the fridge for a quick snack grab.

Our favorite summer snack is "Fruit Salsa and Chips" We Finely chop strawberries, kiwi, and granny smith apples and sweeten with a Tbl. of strawberry jam or jelly. Cut tortias in chip sizes and spray with pan sprinkle on cinnomon and bake at 375' for 6-7 minutes serve with salsa.

We like to make Summer fruit salad: Cut watermelon and honeydew melon into cubes, all kinds of berries, walnuts, orange segments, herbs like peppermint or spearmint or red basil leaves. Mix all the ingredients together. Serve with dollop of any kind of whipped cream. BON APPETITE!

I'm a big fan of making smoothies. I have a vitamix and like combining assorted nut(usually almonds) with seeds(flax), apricots, almond milk, and bananas. Agave sweetener to taste.

This is actually a new favorite of our family: Bean burritos - Whole wheat burrito wraps with brown rice, black beans, corn, lettuce, tomato & Salsa. They are filling and full of flavor, yet still quite healthy. Plus, none of the ingredients will sour quickly!

I don't have a favorite recipe yet. I am new to whole foods. My first visit to the store was yesterday. what a great day. I came home with many great things and ate my way up and down the isles every one was so helpful. I came home and started reading all my labels and pitched my whole pantry out! Luckily I brought home a delicious roasted chicken and stir fry rice it was quick, easy and healthy!

I love colorful platters, usually mix of dried & fresh fruits, tasty cheeses, variety of crackers - I serve it with cold drinks, vitamin water, coconut water and the whole family loves it !
