Just one example,I keep for our family on hand canned wild caught sardines "Nutrition powerhouse" Our favorite meal with sardines in the summer is to serve them on the platter with variety of organic vegetables and Rustic Italian bread from Whole Foods. My kids love it, it is fast, easy to prepare and excellent source of nutrition.

We like to keep canned chickpeas for making hummus. Pita & hummus makes for a quick summer meal. Also like to keep a box of orzo or pasta for summer pasta salad using fresh ingredients from the garden.

Nobody I've told seems to think this is as awesome I do, but when I'm in the mood for a sweet treat I stir up some almond butter with marshmallow fluff in a dish and eat it as is! This was originally a plan to foil crumbly bread that can't take 2 separate applications of sticky condiments, but I never made it to the bread.

Nothing says summer to me like a tomato and mozzarella salad, but sometimes I grab some salsa, crackers and chop up some mozzarella to make this more bite sized. Yum!
