I have a black pug and a 20-lb. long haired black cat. We offer our pug an assortment of treats, all of which she loves, but her favorite "snack" seems to be whatever leftovers are visible in the cat's litterbox. We are open to some healthy replacements!

Our Goldendoodle Maggie, will get a surprise in her food bowl after every wild salmon dinner. She loves the skin, and it is so good for any dog's coat. I make home made challah bread. While it sits on the table, she will bark letting us know she is ready for her piece. Her all time favorite is a hard boiled egg. She will follow anyone around who is eating this.

When Briggs, our Airedale Terror was a puppy he could hear a jar of peanut butter being opened or popcorn popping from anywhere in the house and he would come running. Now, 9 years later, cheese and tuna are his treats of choice. He would do anything for either of those treats!

My family is the proud owner of Teddy Blue, an eight-year-old Shiloh Shepherd (think oversized German Shepherd). He is (pardon the French) a whore for grilled salmon. We learned this about him when he was a pup (but already fitting into his 110-pound adult-sized self) on a July 4th trip to our cottage in Western North Carolina, when Teddy discovered--while standing--that his enormous head rested neatly on the dining room table right next to (you guessed it) a lovely platter of fresh-off-the-grill Teriyaki salmon. How convenient. What else to do except shove some of it into his eager mouth? Now he loves salmon in all of its many guises, including the slimy stuff that goes on bagels.... Got any salmon in that care package? Hmmmm? And would you consider sending it to Tennessee? Pleeez?

I had a bunny who loved bananas and peppermint and a cat who was crazy for cantaloupe. I now have a dog who likes clementines - actually he's a lab and loves everything.

My cat is a "chive kitty" - he insists on five or six sprigs of fresh chives as an evening snack. On occasion he prefers young arugula or French sorrel. He's a cat of fine taste!

About a year ago I tried to give my 3 year old black lab a slice of pepperoni and he decided to roll in it like it was a dead animal, needless to say I haven't eaten one since. He also does that to any sliced meat. But his favorite treat is strawberry tops (the leafy part) after I eat the main part & organic peanut butter (he goes nuts for peanut butter)!

My cat Byron absolutely LOVES bananas. Every time he hears me peel a banana he is there instantly. He does climb an awful lot and enjoys heights; perhaps he thinks he is a monkey? lol

My 5 month old puppy, Piper, just LOVES pineapple.. I would have to say that is probably her most favorite, but she also likes carrots & apples. I bought her these cheese flavor treats that are all natural as well and made locally: Best Buddy Bits. I've tried them & they taste almost like Goldfish crackers! I try to feed her only healthy treats for training & praising so she doesn't end up getting overweight & just because I want her to feel good and not be weighed down with too much sugar or corn meal which you find in soooo many foods & treats. Thanks! I hope I'm chosen, I'm always looking for good new healthy treats.
