Growing up my cat Ripley LOVED watermelon. It was the funniest thing. My current cat Binky absolutely loves when I get a rotisserie chickens from Whole Foods. She can smell it as soon as I walk in the house and comes running. We have to be careful to put the rest away while we are eating because we've caught her on the counter eating right off the chicken.

When Briscoe, our cat, first came home, he was a bit too young to have left his mom and he didn't eat for awhile; causing much concern. Now, he is big and quite fat. Need to get this love of our lives eating a more healthier diet!!!

I have a ritual for my two cats. Twice a week I give them "good kitty dinner". Wednesday and Saturday nights. They "vote" for which dinner they want out of two choices. The dinner is wet food and the key is gravy. If I could buy just the gravy they would be happiest. After reading this, I realize I need a life.

Our labradoodle Luna loves eggs, in any form. She can hear an egg cracking from another room and comes running. She also loves fresh apple chunks, or even the core.

Our five rescued Australian shepherds go CRAZY for my homemade chicken liver brownies. I use rolled oats (NO corn or wheat--EVER), fresh parsely, garlic, parmesan, canned pumpkin, egg and flaxseed meal (ingredients at WFM). After baking/cooling, cut in bite sized nuggets and store in container in freezer. Recipe gladly shared. ;-)

Our dog Chester loves almost anything veggie or fruit...but his fav's are brocolli "flowerettes", grapes, grape tomatoes...actually anything roundish that he can first toss and play with till he's bored with "that toy" and then promptly eats it! His obsession these days is bananas and pears...won't let us eat one without sharing!

My goldendoodle pup loves sweet potato. Not yams, sweet potato. I learned that yams and sweet potatoes are different thanks to him.

My cat Monkey absolutely LOVES cucumber peels. Whenever I start making a salad she's up on the counter and then trying to tip over the garbage until I give her one to lick. :)

My cat will try to snack on just about everything, but a recent addition to our household got immediate rave reviews: raw milk cheddar. She'll lick right from the tub unless I can elbow her out of the way. It's local and organic (http://www.pcmli.com/cw_bk.htm) and therefore very good for the planet, but probably not so good for kitties.

My little beagle-mix rescue loves licking the bowl after my fiance eats his Wolfgang Puck creamy tomato soup and Amy's mac-n-cheese dish. She doesn't get people food often, so it's a treat to her. She also likes raw zuccini and goes nuts for the Whole Foods brand hard mini bones after a good potty and when 'sitting pretty.'

Our yellow lab, Finn, is a lover of good literature. Actually, any book left lying around will suffice. Nothing tempts his puppy jaws quite like a nice, sturdy hard-back book. He has devoured some great works of fiction and non-fiction, there doesn't seem to be a preference.

My girls love peanut butter. All I have to do is bring out the peanut butter jar and they start chomping and licking their lips. All we need is a spoon, they eat the peanut butter off of the spoon. These are dogs, a border collie mix and an Australian shepherd.

My pup Jake who is a rescue from the streets of Puerto Rico will not allow me to make a salad without pushing his way into the kitchen. He actually hears the cutting board when I take it out. Carrots and red sweet peppers are his absolute favorites. On a long car ride recently I started at the Farmers market and bought him some very large fresh carrots. He rode the entire 3 hour drive eating on as if it was a bone!

My eleven month old Jack Russell Terrier has several favorites. Zuke's peanut butter soft treats are great for training and really help enforce the 'COME' command! He loves carrots and bully springs as well!

We have two boxers, one Hoss and one Tonka. Hoss is Tonka's dad, though you'd never be able to tell because of how picky Hoss is and how carefree Tonka is. Tonka will eat just about anything from tomatos to onions and even garlic. The most exciting time for him though, is popcorn. I get buttery popcorn with salt, pepper and chili powder on it, and he will not leave my side until I have eaten it all. He'll do anything for popcorn. Hoss' most favorite treat of all would have to be cheese. He see's me get the cheese out of the fridge and he's already laying down with his eyes glued to me, I'm sure he's wondering, 'you give me cheese now?'
