Wow, this would be a great way to start the new year. I try to eat right at every meal. Fruit and veggies, whole grains, and I'm sure some other goodies would make my Whole Foods shopping list too. Thanks.

I am eating whole grains this year- as much as possible. I just got back from the mid east and ate so well that I want to incorporate it into every day eating. The hard part is the temptation for Starbucks and coffees :(.

We are a family of 5 that is battling to keep school lunches nutritious! We have 3 kids 6,7,9 and we are fighting the daily battle of getting fruits and veggies into their lunch boxes. What is considered cool by other kids is the enemy. We have the kids eating salad, berries, even pastas. My wife and i have lost 50 pounds between us by eating superfoods and anything green and leafy! Our kids are learning invaluable food lesson by watching us prepare our meals. It is a challenge to come up with new meals and our hope is this gift would help us broaden the horizons and not the wastelines of our family:) best, Greg

Incorporate a ton more of whole grains and drink more water. Finding healthy (but easy) lunch options would be wonderful as well.

I love Whole Foods. I wish we had one closer to my home in Northwest Indiana or on the Douth Side of Chicago.

My goal is to incorporate more veggies into our meals, cooked in healthy ways. We typically eat the same potatoes, green beans, carrots and it is time to change it up. Would like to try kale, greens and maybe new ways to cook the same old stuff. We need to change up the spices, too. I love curry, and need to get my husband to try it. I follow lots of chefs and food authors on Twitter, and am always on the lookout for new cooking techniques and tips.

What we do is simple, we literally count the number of fruits and vegetables we eat each day. You will be surprised how easy it is not to eat enough especially in the winter when you are on the go. This simple step involves my little ones and makes us more conscious of what we are eating.

In 2011 I'd love to bring in more Organics to our home and cut WAY down on salt and sugar. We currently receive WIC & organics aren't allowed (even store brand). Needless to say, we're on a pretty strict budget. We have two smal girls (4 &1) so eating healthy & raise healthy eaters is *very* important to me. However, it's really hard to do when you are practically living hand to mouth. I'd love ideas on how to stretch a dollar as far as possible on healthy foods.

I am cooking 3 dinners per week from the Mayo Clinic cookbook, for a healthier 2011, and bringing the leftovers to work 3 days a week instead of eating out. I plan to use all-organic meat and produce in the dishes. My inspiration is from my dance team teacher who was diagnosed with cancer, she told me something I will never forget - "If you don't have your health, you don't have anything." Here's to a healthy, happy, and long life, starting with eating right! :)

I have resolved to eat smaller portions at mealtime. I needed new dinnerware so I bought plates that were 10.5 inches instead of my old 11.5 inch plates. I also am renewing my vegetarian vow. I had gotten off track.

We done pretty well with transitioning over to mostly natural and organic foods but one of the hardest for us has been to empty our substantial cupboard stores for organic staples (e.g., soups, sugar, flours, spices/seasonings, etc.). We've started but organic spices/seasonings seems to be so much more expensive than the transition to other organic/natural staples (e.g., veg).

My goal is to cook more at home and plan meals a week at a time. I would also really like to reduce wasting food. It's hard to shop for one. I'm looking forward to a new Whole Foods opening in my area!

I recently watched Food Inc. and have decided to lay off junk food and especially foods where steroids and hidden fats are. I've wanted to make the switch for a while, but no time seemed right!

One of the major ways I plan on eating healthy this year is by cooking my own meals. I spend entirely too much time in the drive thru (single girl!) and it hit me that even though I go to the gym, if I'm eating what they advertise as "healthy" fast food, I still may be taking in too much salt and other preservatives. I need to take the initiative to grocery shop for healthy foods, find healthy recipes, and read the food labels!

My wife and I have been cooking using the Whole Foods Recipe iPhone app. This has been super great as we've both lost a great deal of weight since doing so. The recipes are yummy and easy to cook. Everyone should try them!
