My favorite summer beverage is strawberry-basil infused water. Simply slice strawberries and tear basil leaves, infuse in water 2 hours, and serve over ice. You can make this light, healthy, and flavorful beverage with other fruits and herbs, including citrus and mint. It's thirst-quenching and good for you with virtually no calories.

I am a sucker for lemonade - when I have the opportunity, I make my own and sweeten it with stevia ... a few sprigs of mint and I am one happy camper.

I like to keep a pitcher of filtered water in the refrigerator with cucumber or lemon slices in it - very refreshing in the Texas heat.

My favorite summer beverage is a Tazo Passion Tea & Lemonade mixture. I fill a pitcher halfway with water and a few tea bags and leave out in the sun for a little while. Then I fill the rest with lemonade! If I want to get a little crazy I will add a little fresh mint. Ah, refreshing!

My favorite beverage during the summer is good old- fashioned ice cold lemonade with the pulp and sliced lemons, ice-cold sweet tea, and any flavored slushie. We make homemade slushies with fresh and frozen fruits in the juicer....yum!

This is from my 6 year old son James - a Whole Foods Reston regular from birth :-) "I squeeze some organic lemons and my mommy makes special syrup (simple syrup with WF cane sugar) then we put it into our special jar and add water and ice and that's our lemonade stand. The key to making lemonade is the special syrup." Come by anytime for a GREAT glass of James, Jackson and Erik's Lemonade.

We make homemade lemonade, shake it in a drink shaker with lots of ice, add fresh fruit slices like strawberries, grapes, blueberries, raspberries and pineapple to a glass and then pour the homemade lemonade on top. It's really good!

Iced green tea. Yummy. Add some refreshing honey and ginsing for a sweet and zesty sparkle. Maybe even let a slice of peach float in the top for some peachy flavor. Green tea never let's my mind, body, and soul down. :)

My absolute fave drink would have to be an Apersol Spritz that I have had to learned to make here in Toronto. I first experienced this beautiful drink that is truly the essence of Summer in a glass while vacationing in Venice last year...now I think drink & Summer...I make this drink. It contains Apersol, Sparkling Wine/Prosecco, Fresh cut fruit (mostly oranges), Perrier and garnished with a green olive. If I where to think of a drink that reminds me of Summer that is non-alcoholic...I would have to think a classic ICED Tea with agave or coconut nectar to sweeten. I would use black tea and brew a really strong batch, mix with both lemon and lime, touch of mint and single cinnamon stick to help with rounding out the flavour. Add the sweetening and chill! Garnish with slices of lemon and lime..delish!
